Totally ludicrous, despite isolationism the US economy was heavily involved with British investment not to mention assets held by both parties. The cartels of the 1900s evolved into multinationals by WWII

If you are thinking of Bretton Woods and the transfer of international currency from the gold standard to the US dollar this may have benefited the US but I doubt that was the reason they twiddled their thumbs while London was getting bombed

Not surprising, as Roosevelt said his "greatest ambition" was to see the "destruction of the British Empire".

I don't see why there has to be a name for it. The UK and the US is willingly exterminating people in Yemen now with their sales of weapons to the Saudis and their support for the regime. But cretins like Theresa May say things like mass murder shouldn't get in the way of trade deals.
It was actually towards the end of the war when Germany were in trouble, and Hitler wanted to focus on winning the war where as some of the generals were more interested in killing Jews. Lots of people also died of starvation and were in such bad shape towards the end of the war after the allies had bombed everything in site.

But still, huge numbers of prisoners were either starved to death, worked to death, died from physical mistreatment, died from lack of proper medical care, were murdered for this or that reason, etc.
Hitler may have originally said he'd take care of the Jewish question after the war, but because he was losing toward the end, he put the Final Solution into high gear, determined if he was going to go, he'd take them all with him. Incidentally, the gas chambers were devised because too many Einsatzgruppen members were psychologically unable to carry on after killing defenseless people, including children. It was a kindness extended to the killers, not the victims.

These debates are like the ceasefire of a century where one nation can carry enough firearms to strart off world war III.

A carpet burn would sever more tea leaves than crying in the face of unwritten diversity, biblical foreign context or adverse adversaries.
People need to start getting a grip on humanity, and stop shelling innocent millions for the sake of a patriotic cause.
John Snow recently told a syrian M.P what he thought of his antics on the regime of the Syrian government because the man was possessed and still is, on shelling loads of rebel military activists instead of ordering an immediate all out evacuation, which should really be a month or two as opposed to a week. Shame on Palestine and Syria and eastern governments who can't back down on the backs of their own propaganda. Get the starving out, and women and children first. Whose lives are more at risk? The whole arab state is corrupt, and if Boris Johnson wants to get the spider out of his system that something is seriously wrong with Iran Syria and Libia, so be it.
Stop punishing the people who are unequal to your views, we're as much of the cause as you are.

Of course, every country has plans for war against every other, but that doesn't mean it's ever going to happen. And where did the article say FDR plotted the demise of the British Empire?

Roosevelt knew that the Axis powers would divide up the spoils of the British empire with the Japanese

I could never see the president of the US preferring to kow tow to the emperor to trade in the Asia pacific region

Americans didn't want to involved in another European war. They didn't see issues of Europe as their problem. That's why fdr had to find work around to even aid England. If he'd just declared war people would been pissed and voted him out. Politicians are politicians first and most

I didn't say he plotted, I said he was quoted as saying it was his greatest ambition to see the destruction of it.

If you want to assassinate British politics, maybe you should have h.ired a more trustworthy head of state to do it, what is it with congress and their phonies..if I have to hear John Kerry harping on about mutual losses and involuntarily stepping aside, for Boris, to get his hands burnt in the process, I'd have pulled out of all foreign trade negotiations. No one has actually gone bankrupt over here yet, despite the kurds never being able to get their hands on another trade deal, involving a steady flow of arms from the U.S.
Now the syrian army have taken back Aleppo whilst, Manbij and Mosul are still being used as American Intelligence bases in order to proceed with their differences over false negotiations, with limited backing and power. The odds of finishing the war in Iraq are about as slim as Trumps former associates tallying with large forces of Putins airborne army. Assad might be winning the conflict, but not the scale of the war.
I've seen enough human suffering to last me a decade never mind six year and the Trump administration is going to crush all former ties with kurdish forces in Northern and Western Syria. Assad and Putin a premeditated arrangement to include signing over territories that were once held and belong to religious people of those colonies. I hope the ceasefire deal can now amend the evacuation process at least, for gods sake.
If Putin wants to be the new Hitler, very few are going to stand in his way, apart from P.M May, who could slide down the military offensive that this sideshow Bob is putting up, and finalise a three arms deal when war retaliation is finally over.

The good thing about Boris is he can't help himself from telling the truth sometimes.

If you want truth, the truth is a democratic struggle for hardship and failure when you're wrong or constantly pickled out of an equation outside your control. i.e borders. There is a lot to learn from abusing ones privilledges and entitlement in ones own country. The only punishment we are capanle of is defeat, and not saving millions of wounded soldiers in Iraq when it was our time to pull them out, no instead, the former p.m Cameroon as i call him took leave of his military senses and took back control the wrong way.
No one supports Assad over here, its a mandate for disaster even to put out a rescue mission and old Boris is entitled to sharing his opinion, even out of unspoken disparage and civil unrest within the home country as its most vulnerable time.

Populations have had enough defeats, it's time for the establishment to be defeated. Assad is the moderate and i'm from the UK.
