Right-Wing Cant: Barack Obama as Modern-Day Hitler
The idea that 5 million Israeli Jews hold a nuclear bomb monopoly on the Middle East and that the U.S. desires their military domination is akin to having had someone arm Sri Lanka so that it could rule over India, Pakistan and that entire region...
Do people not understand who profoundly irritating this is, that the U.S. would set things up this way? It's extremely destabilising. The decision to have a Tutsi Empire in Central Africa when they aren't even a majority in their own countries is what has condemned that region to perpetual war.
I'm sorry...I'll take 'clues' for 20...
Godwin lives, Godwin Rules, Godwin got to the head of this thread right pronto...
Screw Godwin. If the situation calls for the comparison to one of the ugliest and most indefensible regimes in modern history then so be it.
The decision to create a Tutsi Empire in Central Africa has to be one of the most ridiculously awful ones ever done by major world powers in history. Tutsis are 15% of their respective home countries. This awful decision is linked to their alliance with the Hima and with their great hope, "no party state" ruler Yowero Museveni of Uganda, who incidentally was supported because of his sponsoring war against the Sudan... so the crusade does figure here somewhere.
Other than national defense and other law-and-order prerogatives conservatives value, the government has a role to play in addressing other, more proactive community-wide concerns like education and research, roads and other basic infrastructure, and healthcare. The reason is that sometimes collective action can do more than, say, smaller healthcare plans provided by an employer or an individual in, for example, negotiating drug prices and by mandating universal coverage. Our current system is sorely broken, denying people overage as health-insurance executives enrich themselves off our illnesses.
Forming co-operative user owned insurance firms (non-profit) answers that problem. If the money is in the people's pockets for starters they can collectively insure themselves. We already have user owned credit-unions, why not user-owned insurance organization and user-owned hospitals? In addition we have user owned co-operative supermarket and food distribution organizations, the Rochdale Co-operatives. They have lower prices and are operated in a non-profit mode. They just have to meet costs and expenses.

But keep in mind that Hitler didn't propose gassing the Jews until after he was well-established in power. Had the German people known what he was going to do, they would never have sanctioned it. Once he became a monster, the people were too fearful to stand against him in significant numbers.
He proposed it in -Mein Kampf- which was written during the 1920s. Hitler knew gas very well, being wounded in a gas attack.

Granted, but the German people didn't believe he would actually do it until he started doing it.
Lots of monsters telegraph their intentions, but people aren't willing to take that at face value. They wait for the "proof," and by the time they get it, it is too late to stop what's happening.
What a lovely bit of conspirarcy insinuation.
I love your false equivalancies.
Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and the town hall vandals aren't a "few loons". They're highly respectable Republican Party operatives. How many people carrying firearms were allowed near former President George W. Bush?

Republican Town Hall Vandalism
I love your sense of outrage. It was all "mean stuff" from the left during Bush's years, what with the legal protests and non-gun carrying leftists, but Tea-Baggers and obstruction from elected Republicans is just like the Bush years.
The Democrats repeatedly obstructed Bush's major efforts like aggression against Iraq ... actually, no they didn't!
Democratic activists were allowed near Bush rallies with guns ... actually, they weren't!
Like Bush spied on Americans so too is Obama ... no, he isn't!
The last points particularly interesting, given the fact that most terrorists during Obama's Administration have been domestic terrorists.
Newsflash: THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE CRITICISM comming from Republicans on Obama's measures. Seeing as to how you're a climate change denialist I'm sure your standards of "legitimate" are rather distinct from mine, though.
Every president gets called a fascist or a Nazi by one group or another. It's just a term that invokes an emotional response. Obama isn't the first and won't be the last.
Also, the main perpetrators of the "Obama is a Nazi" stuff are LaRouche followers who can described more as the fringe left not "right wing extremists" like you're saying.
Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are not leftwingers.

Nope. It's fact. Read up on Nazi Germany and what the German people felt about Hitler once he was gone. At first, they loved him. Once they saw the monster that he was, those who didn't support him said nothing out of fear of what might happen to them. They didn't take the things he said and wrote before his rise to power very seriously.
That is why he created the Volkswagen and public housing and universal health care and cruise ships for worker's vacations.
Under "national" socialism, companies should make a profit but workers should live well too.
Did it work? Yes.
And then he sent them off on missions of torture and murder throughout Europe that will be remembered for centuries.
That is why he created the Volkswagen and public housing and universal health care and cruise ships for worker's vacations.

Did it work? Yes.
Did it work? No. Germany, under the Nazis funded their economic programs by looting their neighbors.
To see how well Germany succeeded see the post bombing photos of the major German cities. Germany and its leaders brought ruination upon their land.
As Germany was falling to pieces around Hitlers head, Hitler said the German people (that includes the workers) deserved their destruction because they were weak.

And then, with iron determination, blew his brains out.

The quote about poison gas in Mein Kampf is as follows-
"If at the beginning of the war and during the war twelve or fifteen thousand of these Hebrew corruptors of the people had been held under poison gas, as happened to hundreds of thousands of our very best German workers in the field, the sacrifice of millions at the front would not have been in vain. On the contrary: twelve thousand scoundrels eliminated in time might have saved the lives of a million real Germans, valuable for the future."
This is clearly not a proposal to round up all of Europe's Jews and put them into gas chambers. He was just saying that if the few thousand Jews he blamed for Germany's defeat had been in the front line during WWI instead of supposedly subverting behind the scenes, Germany might have won the war.
They're not LaRouche followers now are they? Think the young woman was who Barney Frank berated a few week ago. They've been on that wagon before anyone.
I don't listen to Rush so I don't know what he's saying but I'll catch Beck sometimes and I don't think everything he's saying is ridiculous. Yes he goes too far sometimes but he's one of the only guys in the mainstream media talking about Obama's "czars". Van Jones(byebye), Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, Mark Lloyd, Carol Browner etc. are as radical as it can get. You wonder why Obama gets called the things he does, look at the guys he has around him. Not to mention, that whole czar concept seems unconstitutional to me too and now it's being brought to a new level with the Obama administration.
I love how Van Jones said there was a vicious smear campaign against him too when he was brought down with his own words and ideas. Look in all the articles about Van Jones resigning and you'll notice the omission that he's self-avowed communist working as the green jobs czar. What type of jobs do you think a communist wants to make? I'm not even going to get into the other stuff with this guy but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
