When ernst junger was asked why he didn't want to become a politician, his answer was: 'why? To represent 60.000 idiots in parliament?'

Evidently the hallmark of a theological politician is total contempt for those he represents. I cannot accept that as worthwhile.

Who is wise? How do we measure wisdom? How do we determine who is wisest? Does wisdom objectively exist, and what is it based upon? What will you say to a person who disagrees with you on the nature of wisdom or it's existence to persuade them otherwise? Can it be objectively shown that your view of wisdom is the most important quality? Can it be objectively shown that wisdom is the determining quality that we should select our leaders upon, or how would you balance other factors?

The major problem — one of the major problems, for there are several — one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them. To summarize: it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem.
