How to define a "religious homophobe"?

Holding a different idea of what is or isn't sexually moral is not bigoted, it's different. The attitude you're describing is not intolerant, it is disapproving. Sure, you might disapprove of their disapproval, but that just means you don't agree with them. You can disagree with someone without hating them or being intolerant of them or their views.

If by 'tolerant society' you mean a society that is intolerant of anyone that disagrees with them, then I hope we never get one.

Basically because those who claim to be "intolerant" are the most intolerant of them all.

The gay rights movement wants open acceptance of what they are, and if you won't give it freely, they want to force it upon you. That's not being "tolerant."

How are they trying to "force it upon you"?


When they want laws punishing you for teaching something they do is wrong (sin), that's forcing their views upon others.

Or when students in government schools are programmed to ignore their very parents, if necesssary, in order to embrace the idea of all so-called "lifestyles" being equally acceptable and good.

As an aside: A young man once called me a homophobe, and I immediately assured him I have no phobia along that line or he and I would not have been talking!
