You claim that the contemporaneity of humans with dinosaurs is inconsistent with available data, is that correct? Or do you claim that the catastrophic interpretation is inconsistent with the available data?

Yes.

How?

For one, uniformatarian starting assumptions make more sense- we assume nature to be predictable and orderly. Note that your CMI is very fond of constantly claiming that nature is orderly and predictable. This claim itself is inconsistent with catastrophism. If the laws of nature are not uniform, we can make no reasonable attempt at anything approaching science because the natural world is changing and unpredictable.

For the actual data, you can look at mountains, canyons, and other rock formations which clearly appear, by multiple independent dating methods, to be a certain age which is completely inconsistent with the young Earth hypothesis.

I think Orwell has about summed it up.

Basically the ideas YECs promote are nothing more than philosophical thought trying to find ways to reconcile biblical stories to known science.

To do this, the likes of Baumgardner dream up fanciful hypothesis, which have absolutely supporting data, and yet YECs hold to these unsubstantiated hypothesis in face of overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary.

Keet helpfully demonstrates this with his continued reference to 'the flood of Noah'

No doubt they are all going to squeal like stuffed pigs as our knowledge surrounding the 'Cambrian Explosion' improves, already it is becoming clear that this 'explosion' was not as significant as once thought.

To believe that humans and dinosaurs once coexisted harmoniously or otherwise, is a flagrant demonstration of ignoring quality science in deference to philosophical garbage.

Catastrophism does not claim that the universe is without order or that the laws of physics change so that nothing is predictable. Rather, it is specific to geological events. Yes, if one assumes that a consistent weather pattern will affect the depth of this one thing by this magnitude at this rate, then you can calculate time that it would have occurred if no major weather pattern changes occurred.
