Is that UKIP focusing on the important issues of the day? (Again?)

ASD,
Know for being honest!
Know for not being 'social', can you think of anything more social that wanting to control the population! And actually putting yourself in the front line to do it.
Not good at team sports etc... (Why would anyone like that want to go into party politics in quite such the way he has.)
doesn't seem clumsy, no tonal problems with voice. No acute emotional nature to his language. Does have a temper, but then don't control freaks and bullies have tempers.

Possibly more of a psychopath than ASD.

Does everyone with an ASD fit those descriptions? I'm sure there are a few politicians with an ASD.
I think my PM has AS.

I still think brown probably is. the thing about his obsessions with justive rang true. armando- mmph- possibly.
I actually came across the brown thing when I googled mark lawson aspergers- he had EXACTLY the same vocal intonations and bumpy speech patterns as an aspie guy I know; there was nothing on him, but all this about brown cme up insted.

also- alan partridge exhibits some of those same failure to fit in qualities, though mayn't everyone feel like this, Nt or otherwise? I've lost my 'lynn- the're sex people!!/ dan! dan! dan! dan!' dvd sadly. hope newsnight drag ianucci in tonight after the debate.
i saw the blinking minister from the thick special the other day. politely saved my laughing till he passed by.

dont think that woman was a bigot- only white people ever get called this. ever noticed that noone ever says to muslims that saying women have half the value of men, or that women belong to men, or that women should cover themselves up including 3 year old girls, or that women cause earthquakes- is bigoted. or to african or east europeans that homophobia and discrimination against women, again, a part of their culture, is unacceptable and bigoted. ha ha- hornets nest stirred.

I clicked the link and thought it was a very funny story.......there's nobody more against the oversexualising of females than I am, and I think he's quite right to say that it encourages promiscuity, but earthquakes? Don't worry ladies, he made that bit up. Or somebody else did and he just swallowed the myth. But there's nothing particularly Islamic about bigwigs talking crap.

White, British Christians get away with being bigoted with homophobia.

I personally think that whole thing was overhyped (who dosen't have negative opinions of some people? And it's not like he swore or anything.) But those pictures are funny

That was my first reaction, but I had to concede that he did rather show himself to be out of touch with the popular concern about levels of immigration.....and his two-faced attitude in being as nice as pie to the woman herself while really thinking she was just a bigot. He's tried to excuse himself by saying that he misheard her....."oh sorry, did she say she was worried about immigration? I though she said we should gas them all." That won't wash. Anybody who doesn't like Labour's immigration policy is now going to realise that Labour doesn't give a damn what they think, and the BNP will benefit.

I'm sure the other parties are just as two-faced and arrogant (remember the Tory liar who called a Conservative policy a typical piece of New Labour spin, till he realised it was a Tory document?) but Gordon was the party leader who got caught. We should bug the lot of them - we'll sure never find out what they're up to by listening to their polished speeches.

Judging by the comments of BBC Radio 2 listeners today, some people may feel sorry for him. Someone said they were a life long Conservative supporter and were going to vote Labour because Gordon Brown is the best man for the job and also agreed with the over hyped argument. Perhaps the whole thing was a stunt to get more votes for Labour.

As Man-Erg pointed out earlier in the thread, I think he'd have come out of this whole sorry shebang looking stronger if he'd just stuck to his guns and refused to apologise. The question the woman asked him was a stupid one in the first place - I mean, they're not flocking over here from the Isle of Man, are they?

I saw Gordon apologizing profusely on the news with captions like "Oh Gord!" above. I have no idea if he's an Aspie. I don't like thinking of political figures as Aspies because it seems like politics is so ugly and gross. A true Aspie wouldn't want to stoop to such a level that politicians stoop to. It seems like Aspies wouldn't gravitate toward the political arena just because of the ugliness, lack of ethics and pointless games involved.

Not all aspies are alike. Having Asperger's does not make one immune from some of the other grubbier human traits.

My mum keeps saying he is but I don't think so at all. I just think he's a bit of a dork/nerd.
It drives me round the bend when my mum keeps trying to convince me of his AS-ness, I want to bang my head against a brick wall. She thinks she's some kind of doctor and tries to diagnose everyone she knows and sees on telly or people's friends, I'm like "there's not that many of us for crying out loud!" If she ever was a doctor there'd be a dramatic rise from 1% of the population to about 30% and most of the time she would have got it wrong.
