One could only wish.

Frankly, I find the whole debate a non-issue.

Considering the number of moon bats already in Congress that people seem to be okay with, this woman, even if she is even twice as bad as her detractors want people to believe, will have little impact, and if she is that bad, she won't get re-elected.

Saw a total airhead Hispanic woman run for a senatorial seat in Florida. She got the Hispanic vote via a racially-charged campaign, but she was useless in office, and nobody bothered to show up to get her a second term.

Stuff like this sorts itself out.

Frankly, the more they want to slam her, the more I like her....the powers that be that stoop to tactics to keep a third-party candidate down deserve to be opposed simply out of spite.

Really, it's helping her more than hurting her.

The whole witch thing is pretty overblown. O'Donnell didn't become a devout Catholic until her 20s. Most Christians are pretty accepting of repented sinners who come to god. It's not like her opponent is a much more attractive option as he was quoted calling himself a "bearded Marxist" back in his 20s.

I hope that none of these folks mellow out on their principles when they get elected. They might bring Washington to a standstill for the next 2 years? I can think of worse things to happen. I want these new senators and congressman and women to go to Washington to stop the big government agenda of the Neocon/Democrat establishment.

if things like her and sharron angel are elected, gays need to think about moving to canada.

Well....I don't know if she be any sort of threat to those of us with autistic spectrum disorders or neurological differences in general. Perhaps she would be in favor cutting social spending like most republicans/conservatives are, but I think that's generally a bad idea for everyone. I dislike her more because of her insane conservative catholic beliefs which could be reflected in public policy if she has her way. Said beliefs woven into public policy would be unlikely to have any sigificant impact (negative or positive) on people with ASDs in and of themselves. They would be far more impactful on gays, women, abortion rights, the use of contraceptives, etc. If she became president (virtually impossible...thank dog), she may also appoint an Onanism czar and federal agents will be checking everyone's bed sheets with a black light.

I personally think she's a closeted nympho and pictures of her being gang-banged will emerge soon. That would be a far more amusing sex scandal than the one Larry "wide stance" Craig was involved in. Especially if she was being gang-banged on a satanic alter

If they would've been brutally honest.....they would've told her she's especially stupid and set up a nice trust fund for her. We would all be better off if she was lounging about on St. Barts or something rather than trying to become U.S. senator.

Republicans are unlikely to win a supermajority so congress will still be split roughly 50-50.

Evolutionary biology is unlikely to come up on the floor of congress at least during her first term so that's not an issue.

There is a story (probably doubtful) that some state legislature once tried to revoke the law of gravity. The current political scene tends to make that tale believable. I await the revision of history where Darwin is a devil worshiper and evolution will be declared unlawful.

The fact that she thinks that gay marriage and abortion laws should be repealed simply because the Bible says that those things are wrong proves that she is, in fact, an extremist. So unless you like the idea of turning this country into a theocracy not unlike Saudi Arabia or Iran, I wouldn't support O'Donnell or any of the other Bible-thumping right-wingers running for office.
