Yea, sure why not. If I was a New Yorker I'd vote for anyone but Cuomo. I'd probably vote for the Libertarian Redlich before her but it would be a protest vote anyway so may as well make it interesting.

If I was still living in Cali, I'd be voting yes on 19 as well. As far as mental problems associated with marijuana, it's really hard to tell what's what. There's many "studies" that are little more than a means to prop up its legal status and those studies are funded by groups who benefit from marijuana staying illegal.

Who knows. Supposedly hallucinogens made you crazy but there's now studies coming out that imply that triptamine hallucinogens like psilocybin mushrooms actually help mental health and help people with depression and other mood disorders. So, I have my doubts about the studies implying that there's damage to be done by smoking marijuana.

yes, i agree. none of the traditional stereotypes attributed to pot-smoking have been borne out by actual studies. a massive amount of research has been done to date.

i'd vote for that female politician if a agreed with the majority of her politics. i don't agree for the most part, so i wouldn't.

Being from New York I'd consider it however.. I don't like any of the candidates.

I like her platform for the most part, except that I believe in having strict gun laws. Not banning them, just keeping them well-regulated. Her platform is also too small. I need to know more about her beliefs so that I can predict what she might do if she was in office.

At least in the US, that doesn't tend to work, especially at the state level as it just creates a smuggling market between states, sort of like the market in untaxed cigarettes. A lot of people get caught up in the emotional aspect of guns, or associate them too strongly with the right wing and oppose them on general principal; where as they and their regulation ought to be viewed through the lens of alcohol prohibition. Over regulation of a product for which there is a strong market inevitably leads to black markets and criminal organizations replacing legitimate distribution channels in supplying the demand. Also remember that during Prohibition many turned to making their own alcohol both for personal use and for profit; I'm far from alone in my ability to build a firearm from raw materials, and tighter regulations would change the risk/reward ratio for doing so to supply an illicit demand.

I'd vote based on what she's offering to do, and what the other people are offering to do. And choose the lesser evil, probably. =.=

Keep in mind that it's quite possible that some schizophrenics are self-medicating with marijuana, just as some do with alcohol. Until a mechanism by which THC could cause schizophrenia can be adduced, or at least plausibly hypothesized and tested, assuming a causal relationship would be as faulty as assuming that because many depressed people drink, that therefore alcohol causes clinical depression.
