Precisely. It's not about rights. It's about wants.

I just recently wanted a polish sausage, and I'm likely to want one again soon. Good thing we're not running at all low on pigs.

I don't need to justify it. It's just, like it or not, the position in the food chain that i occupy.

Rights are bogus. It is might and strength that are real. We take what we want from nature because we can. As Nietzche truly wrote: Die Mach ist das Recht.

So its okay to be a thug and a pirate then.
You just contradicted yourself.

It shouldn't surprise you.

Its pretty funny how the saying goes dont s**t where you eat and what are we doing just that.
Crapping all over this world, im guilty too i know that.

Also if you look at human laws and what we considered rights over the last hundreds of years they have changed dramastically. Its logical to assume that laws and rights will be viewed a lot different in the following years. So to assume that the views we have now are going to be final is foolish. If anything in a hundred or so years people will scratch their head at our stupidity or worse they will hate us for the mess we left behind for them to clean up.

If you look back into the past there are probably many points you think are wrong and could have done better, the same thing will be thought of us and how we run this world. In reality we dont run this world we are not the boss of anything we dont own anything we dont even own our bodies.

it has nothing to do with any one animal, it has to do with the amount of enrgy it takes to grow meat the natural way.
meaning that for every pound of meat about 15 pounds of food was used to grow it.
when you then look at how much meat we use in the west it is suddenly quite a large chunk of grains.

your position in the food chain doesnt matter, the earth does.

the earth matters to any living thing on its surface, if they have the ability to think that way anyway.
wheter you personally feel anything is quite irrelevant, there is plenty of existence out there and none of it is centered around humans.

That is true. But the notion of "matters" is subjective. Once the subject no longer exists the notion of "matters" is irrelevant.

I think it would be more fair to just try to trip them up in the same kinds of ways they try to cripple the whaling ships ...

... but to each his own out there on the highs seas, eh?! Image

And now, let us all pause for a bite or two and feast on some seaweed.

That has been tried already. Some of the whalers trail long ropes to tie up the propellers of the Sea Shepherd vessels. I prefer 20 mm cannon backed up with longer range ship to ship missiles. I think these pirates should be blown out of the water. When their ships sink, they should be left to drown.

Arrrggghh!

I hear you there ... but then all of that actually means the whalers are the more civil of the two groups, eh?!

Blow 'em down, mateys!

Arrrrggghh! Far too civil. Send the Sea Shepherds to the bottom of the briny deep, to Davy Jones locker!

Arrrrggghh!
