I don't know much about how hackers operate, nor do I care to know, but I think this says that LulzSec is done. "oh and TeaMp0isoN Issue 2 is coming out VERY soon exposing lulzsec members (pictures, addresses, passwords, ips, phone numbers etc). . . . not so anonymous anymore are you? lets hope that you can swim because the lulzboat just got titanic'd"

The feds have gone unglued over this. The FBI and the CIA are working on it, and since it's electronic the NSA probably has a hand in it as well. European agencies are also helping in the effort.

It sounds excessive that they took the whole server farm, but since the raid was in the middle of the night they probably just sent goons rather than computer experts.

Just in on my twitter
Operation AntiSec: release the identities of 2800 Columbian Black Eagles Special Police Unit members
does not look like they have even slowed down
I thought the Águilas Negras were a right-wing militia connected with Narcos.
they are police now? , Silly conservatives.

Does the release blow the cover of any undercover police or agents?
(edited for grammar).

I'd never heard of these guys. Evidently they've helped the US wage the War on Drugs in Columbia, like so:

Quote:
Paramilitaries Launch New Wave of Threats against Colombian Journalists

Tuesday 22 March 2011, by Monica Medel - The Knight Center for Journalism

Reporters without Borders (RSF) reports that it has received a copy of a new set of threats against journalists and human rights activists in Colombia from the Black Eagles paramilitary group, which for the last five years has engaged in acts of violence and intimidation against the press.

According to RSF, the message came via email from “fenixaguilasnegras” (fenix black eagles) and called five journalists “military targets:” Claudia Julieta Duque, Daniel Coronell, Marcos Perales Mendoza, and Hollman Morris – a group that had been previously threatened in February.

The Colombian Federation of Journalists (Fecolper), whose president was among those threatened, said that another paramilitary group, Los Urabeños, sent a threatening phone call to Enlace Televisión reporter Mónica Arcella, who is based in Barrancabermeja, Santander (near a recent attack against a TV crew).

The Federation of Latin American and Caribbean Journalists (FEPALC) demanded progress from the Colombian government in the investigations into the February threats.

I guess members of a death squad could be called "undercover agents."

It reveals a lot of addresses, but whether or not the stolen data reveals any secret operations they are part of or any other major past operations they participated in remains to be seen.

UPDATE: A note from LulzSec states "it's time to say bon voyage" and that their "planned 50 day cruise has expired". But in actuality what REALLY happened is there was no planned anything. Rival hacker TeamPoison basically blackmailed LulzSec into retirement warning them that if their group did not back down they would release all their identities. To prove they mean business TP posted the address book and other private data of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. To destroy LulzSec's "legacy" hackers have told the hacking community not to heed LulzSec's 'AntiSec' call. Basically the long and short is this: The Lulz Boat was caught and blown out of water by one of their rivals. So naturally the members that make up LulzSec are now going to try and hide. Read this article for details.
