"Because it is vulgar and violent?" Bull. I don't believe for one moment that's the real reason. It is irreverent and satirical, and that I believe is the problem most of the complaining customers had. It's offensive to anyone who takes the bible seriously. Plain and simple.
Sam's Club isn't run by stupid people. They know that most of their customers revere the bible and would likely be offended by this version of it. It's a simple business decision to remove it from their shelves. A decision they have every right to make. They don't have to carry anything they don't want to.
It's not hypocrisy to take something off the shelves that may harm profits. It fits right in with all businesses purposes: To make as much money as possible.
Anything that has the potential to interfere with that purpose would be removed. It's not Sam's Club that are being hypocrites. Some of the customers maybe, but not them. I bet quite a lot of the same people who are offended by this bible edition spend their money on violent and sexually explicit books and movies, but would never admit it. SOMEBODY is buying all that stuff. Too many to be accounted for by atheists and non-Christians alone for sure.

So I'm requesting my account be locked, banned or whatever. It's just time. Until then, well, I dunno...
