I don't think Romney would be bad for business, and seeing as The House of Representatives is more or less dedicated to making Obama a 1 term president, and the democrats in the Senate could perhaps be less open to throwing out a steering wheel, it could work out for the better.

No, I'm talking about Romney and his blindsighted drive to put wealth in the hands of an elite clique of businessmen and give even more political leverage to well funded right wing think tanks.

Obama a class warrior, thats hilarious. Have you considered stand up comedy? I'd love to see how much you flounder if a real communist was standing for election.

The only good thing about a Romney win will be that maybe it will final be the kick up the backside that ordinary Americans need to wake up from their downright apathy and wet dream about the market and its supposed synomity with freedom.

Class warfare? Haven't you heard how Romney wrote off half the country as victims who he has no intention of representing?
Or for that matter, how Fox news has been steadily denigrating the poor, while referring to the rich as "our most productive citizens."
Class warfare has been waged much more by the right than the left.

Presidents do not represent anyone. They execute the laws passed by congress, command the armed forces and carry out foreign policy.

I am more worried about Mitt the Magic Mormon putting the country into further hock with gobs of unnecessary military spending. Mitt wants to keep on fighting the forever war.

I think if a President intends to represent all Americans, it shows. If he only represents only some, it will also be obvious.
And you're absolutely right about the "forever war." Spain five centuries ago had been the world power, but chose to engage in endless wars against Northern Europe's Protestant states. After a century of almost non-stop fighting, Spain was financially and militarily spent, and has never risen to the rank of a world power again.
Republicans should read some real history before entertaining notions of international adventurism.

Race, Class, Gender, the Environment, there is no greater offender in the eyes of the Left then the US. What is then there to love about a country that exhibits all of those things? Where else in life can you make such accusations of an entity exhibiting all of those things, and claim to love it simultaneously? Could you call a spouse all of those things and expect someone to believe that you "love" them? And if so, what about it is lovable? The answer is obvious. None of it is lovable. You love it not for what it is, but for what you want to make it into. As the President said 5 days prior to his election in 2008, they were on the political eve of fundamentally transforming the United States of America.

How can liberals love America when it has bad qualities about it? Because liberals love their country enough to want to change those things that you've listed. And the country has been changing for the better, for some time - thanks to liberals.
