This is what I try to believe with all of my being:

Our potential is finite and we, as a species, shall be dead and gone in under ten millions years.

Mammalian species do not have a particularly long shelf life on this planet. Bugs like ants and roaches last much longer.

This is more about humanity's collective potential. Every individual is a part of it, not apart from it.

Sure, we have finite resources on earth and we're stuck in linear time as far as I know. I still choose to believe perfection is possible with enough time and practice, even if it takes longer than a lifetime- both in a collective sense and on a personal level.

No one really knows what is and isn't impossible until we figure out the universe.

Perfection is an utterly meaningless fantasy.
You couldn't even define it if you tried.

Not yet, as living beings. What about in death? We can't say for certain all we can do is believe.

Belief proves nothing.

Who is to say what is impossible.

Scientists.

Science is about discovering you are wrong most of the time.

Science is self-correcting; belief is not.

There are common themes in all cultures that good is synonymous with light.

Same for darkness, shadow, birth, life, and death.

Do you also believe in silence?

Ants and roaches aren't bugs. True bugs have a proboscis.

Dragonflies and sharks are doing pretty well for themselves too... and higher on the food chain!

Mammals may not have existed for hundreds of billions of years, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a mammal genus that will find a niche and stay in it for hundreds of billions of years. Sharks and dragonflies were once the new kids on the block after all.

No, the energy that once drove our bodies leaves the body as heat and dissipates throughout the environment. All that remains of us is inanimate matter.
