He seems to think that all forms of killing is the same, well, that's what I've concluded. Hence, he'll never kill anyone, ever. Kinda like how anyone who uses a firearm for self-defense is a vigilante.

Though I'm sure he'd throw that ideal out the window if the only way to save a child was to kill someone.

I can't think of any situation that would require me killing anyone else. Unless you count sacrificing yourself - then yes, I would kill myself to save a child, but who wouldn't?

Good that you'd still keep the ideals to the end.

For me, I'd try to save said kid by stopping the threat as best as I can; if it includes me dying, then yeah, I'm all for that. If it requires killing someone and me surviving, I'd rather take that if given a choice between the two though (some people would be upset if I died).

We know the difference between murder, manslaughter and non-culpable homicide. J-Greens does, too.

I recall that he'd prefer that, yes (he agreed that they'd never give them up though). A society without any form of weapon would be his ideal.

I've had that feeling before. The last one I remember was with Ted Kennedy. Most politicians and activists on that end of the spectrum aren't worth pissing on to put out a fire! Chris Kyle was a truly great man...partly because he did not set out to be one.

The man who did it will forever be known as someone who eliminated someone who killed 160 people... a legend. He brought down Goliath. A parade should be held in his honour.
