It would make a lot more sense that way, wouldn't it?

Actually, our advertising is much less sexy than what you would find in Europe.

In that video, some of the advertisements were from 50 years ago.

Like, this one

No-one would dare use an image like that in advertising any more.

I would.
If it made me laugh (it did) it's bound to have the same effect on all the millions of other sickos out there.
The rage it will bring out in the femi-nazis will be even better. :D

Well, you're not going to find Chase and Sanborn brand coffee anywhere any more. Remember: it is usually the women who make the coffee-purchasing decisions.

If they used an image more like this one

then Feminist housewives would be buying their coffee for sure.

I find it creepy. I don't like the way they equate sex and food. I really don't like the way they zoomed in on his butt as though they were afraid people would miss the point. Just ick.

Not only that, I find dominant women more appealing.

Yes though, as a man I hate the whole having to maintain the facade of being tough and not showing my sensitive side, even if i don't feel like it.

Lucky for you. There aren't many quiet, docile Irish women to be found.

That coffee advertisement above may have had the unintended opposite effect: women who wanted their husbands to give them a damned good spanking would have bought the competing brand of coffee.

This is largely what I find disgusting about American neurotypical culture

I don't know if the "media" causes this (it seems to be a bit too much of a conspiracy theory), or if people (and especially neurotypical women) are just plain nuts to begin with, and advertisers just find it easiest to deal with the material with which they have to work.

I knew a woman who thought that she was fat, and would eat rice cakes for lunch. Little did she know: rice cakes are extremely fattening.

People in America are obsessed with their social status--doing whatever it takes, destroying whomever it will be convenient, in order to rise as far as they can within their stupid rubbish heap.

I find a lot of my countrywomen to be especially nasty. Sure, they're hard on themselves. Their hardness also gets directed at others.

Trends in advertising are successful because people respond to them. It shows part of the psyche of said people. I think that's why there's more humor in British ads. They don't take themselves as seriously as Americans do.

Studying for a Business degree in Uni made me loathe business but made me despise consumers just the same. People are motivated by a lot of nonsense as the above poster mentioned.

Keep in mind the target audience for the commercials. What time of day where they played? During what show? Etc...then you'll find out who is responding to them.

I have often found that many American women are much more competitive than men and are not very nice about it. I think that's why there's so much media hype over fake beauty. Even the young girls on the Disney channel look gross. I don't think they are trying to impress men; they are trying to "outdo" one another.

I got it.

We'll just start showing people having fem-dom sex with product placement.

Here's an example:

A can of Folgers coffee in front, in focus. In the background, slightly out of focus will be a girl f***ing a guy with a strap-on.

See that's perfect.

Reminds me of

Image

Marilyn Chambers. Her first gig was as a model for Ivory Snow soap. Subsequently in her career, a box of Ivory Snow would often appear on the set of her porn films.
