Boo, you really need to put down the Zionist-expansionist conspiracy paranoias. Nations bent on world domination do not willingly sign over half their land to people who've previously tried to kill them and still aren't such terrific friends. Nor do they remove their own illegal settlers at gunpoint. And no, old Palestine was not all that welcoming to Jews; that's why there was an Irgun.
If Israel really wanted to be a lot bigger, you know what? It'd be a lot bigger. It's not a plan. There isn't even the usual Orwellian "our population is growing and needs" crap you get from actual marauders: the only Jews who have giant broods in the age of birth control are the ultraorthodox nuts. The rest of us have enough trouble sending two kids to university, we don't even make it to replacement rate.
