If you don't want to see "dark stuff" on TV, change the channel, or, better yet, pick up a book.

But don't pick up A Song of Ice and Fire book series. The books are even more violent than the Game of Thrones TV series based on the books. I had no idea how much torture the TV show left out until I read the books.

The thing about Game of Thrones is, no one is thinking about how cool it would be to be Ramsay Bolton or Gregor Clegane. Dexter, Jack Bauer, and Walter White have all inspired real world copycats. I don't, and never have had an issue with violence and gore. That's a part of life, and an ingredient of good drama. I have an issue with the ubiquitous glorification of psychopathic behaviour.
