Eh, I used to work for a guy that would pray for business, which offended the hell out of the more devout people working for him. It was kind of a bizarre situation, the guy was Moroccan and mostly hired other Moroccans from his mosque, so they were all nominally Muslim, but the degree to which they took the faith seriously varied quite a bit, from the boss and his materialistic prayers (which he still did five times a day) to the younger guys sneaking food in their cars during Ramadan, to the very devout Iraqi that worked there and yelled at all of them when he thought they were straying; I was a legacy employee from before this guy bought the place btw. Quite a few of them drank, and the store owner was pretty notorious for dogging around on his wife, possibly with men, which scandalized even the younger kids that were drinking and sneaking food.

things are going in the right direction when people have to be paid to pray. I wish all restaurants advertised such practices so I would know what establishments to avoid.

You could troll them by bringing a prayer mat and praying Islamic style. :P

If it can be to any religion, then I'd pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. :D Or, maybe I could practice a little bit of LaVeyan Satanism and pray to myself!

Actually, whenever I'm dragged into a church service of some sort for a wedding or whatever, I pretend to pray to the FSM anyway, and even end it by saying "ramen", though I do it really fast so no one notices.

i would pray to the divine Etras, the Creator of Etronalienel and guardian of the DeTwilerian plain, and leave offerings to any of the patron saints of towns, like Sen. Chalerei on Saturdays.

As I recall, Christ had spoken out against the hypocrites who prayed in public to draw attention to themselves.

More alternative prayers ...

"Two, four, six, eight, bog in, don't wait. Nine, ten, amen,"

"Good food, good meat, good God, let's eat,"

"Rub-a-dub dub, thanks for the grub, yay God!"
