Helping promote your candidate is certainly a good thing.

And they do care about the vote. You can bet that as the next election approaches, they are looking very carefully at the voting information from the previous election.

Who is "they"? And I see your point about the vote not mattering if they don't win. I could also say that I just shouldn't vote at all because my 1 vote won't be the tipping point, so it won't matter, which doesn't really make sense of course. But I still just don't understand how the votes make a difference after the fact.

I can't imagine a scenario in which I'd vote for either.

Put a gun to my temple and tell me I have to choose. I'd laugh and tell you to pull the trigger.

There are always options. If the two major parties only give you an option between two clowns there's always the write-in for a serious candidate like Mickey Mouse-- he's gotten votes in more elections than any other candidate in history.

can't vote for trump. his lack of tact would make him a foreign policy disaster and have us at war with 2/3 of the world.

I don't think it will come down to Clinton vs. Trump though(maybe wishful thinking who knows)...there is still much time for them both to screw their campaigns, though Clinton is sneakier so I imagine trump would self destruct his campaign before Clinton ends up doing so.

Yeah, I think Trump will implode. So, apparently, do the other candidates. They are starting to goad Trump, and being the entitled, spoiled brat that he is, he can't help but respond negatively to this. :D

I can't vote.

Clinton is a much more appealing candidate than Trump. She's a moderate, whereas Trump is a populist.

If they win their nominations, I think Trump's stance on healthcare would force Clinton to also advocate for a single-payer system - hooray! That would remove Trump's only point of appeal to many people.

If Trump won the Presidency, then I'd like to think he'd surround himself with people who knew what they were doing and could avert disaster. He doesn't want to be a failure.
