No, the young woman in the video is an ethnocentric black who dislikes whites. Christ, you have a racial confrontation staring you in the face and you want to pretend it's about ideology? Cultural marxism merely a tool.

Though why a white person would want to wear dreadlocks is anyone's guess.

I would have happily volunteered to stop the "appropriating Arab culture" we were forced to do by studying algebra. Cutting algebra class (out of sensitivity to Arabs of course) would have been fine with me!

You recommend fighting PC with more PC. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Me, I would have told her she was appropriating white culture every time she spoke English, drove a car, used a computer, rode a train, turned on a TV etc etc etc.

Damn right. I'm so glad that minor altercations like the one shown in the video are the worst form of racial animosity that white people ever have to suffer at the hands of non-whites. It's so comforting to me to know that the thousands of rapes and murders of whites by non-whites throughout the West every year have nothing to do with 'hate' or anything.

I hear blacks have been whining lately that there aren't enough black faces in Hollywood movies.

What a shame ... first world problems.

Maybe they think dreads are cool, maybe they want to rebel against the white middle class culture, maybe to be different, maybe they are a stoner??

In the past few years the national media has been obsessing over incidents where a white person kills a black person under debatable circumstances

I think this behavior is the result.

(Although if you use the law of averages over the last five years a back person must have killed a white person under debatable circumstances, because of the sheer number of people in the USA, but these incidents are never publicized on a national level)

I don't really see it as an issue with minorities been offended, because becuase for the most part they aren't offended by white guy wearing dreadlocks.

Not from my experience following the issue.

People who live in poor areas, and not in university are not talking about "cultural appropriation", there are bigger issue than that.

This is really about poor quality academics spouting nonsense. In many cases they are not even in the minority they are being offended on behalf of.

Then it is a more appealing to a spoilt person with a victim complex who happens to be in minority in this case.

Due to political correct f**kery, such a person is taught in an environment where such stupid ideas cannot be challenged easily.

I am not advocating "fighting PC "(whatever that even is).

My point was that the concept of fighting"cultural appropriation" is absurd because every culture unavoidably borrows from other human cultures.

It is quite a bit to do with ideology, these are specific buzzword used by a specific brand of academics.

I doubt very much this lady came up with this idea on her own, it comes out of specific way of looking at culture and identity. This is very much centred around universities. I have been following identity politics in universities.

I agree to a point, though US has a lot of social problems, but crap like this is a not a solution.

Having lived in many developing countries, although I didn't live as they did, I witness some of it, and yes ours problem are mostly minor in comparison.

On the other hand depending how it is done it could be considered having high standards. I'm not taking about PC stuff, but general complaining.

We English like a good moan. We moan about nearly everything  However it does create a kind of standard.

On the other hand nimbyism, can be taken to extreme in the UK.

It's your climate, cold and damp.Obviously the fog is a contributing factor.
Its going to be nice and sunny here today, makes it hard to get a decent moan going.Especially when it's bright outside and the daffodils are blooming.
