Another WTF!: When asked about WiFi in schools, she said "We should not be subjecting kids' brains especially to that"

Niether she, the Libertarian guy, are even close to being any kind of "challenge" to the two party system.

There have always been minor third and forth parties offered on the ballot since the founding of the Republic. Jill Stein just one more of the countless hopeless hopefuls in the last 2 centuries of American elections. Lol!

She is no more a challenge to the duopoly held by the GOP and the Dems than were the now forgotten candidates fielded by the "Anti Masonic Party" were ever a threat to the duopoly held by the Democrats and the Whigs of the early 19th Century.

The only third party that ever made it in the US was a certain anti slavery party founded in the 1850's. They fielded a candidate named Abe Lincoln, and he actually won the Oval Office in 1860, and his party (the "Republicans") became a major party, but only because the Whig party had gone extinct at the same time. And the GOP just replaced the Whigs as one of two major parties again.

And what was the context?

She was at an event where they were talking about computers in school, someone asked her "what about wireless" and Jill Stein claimed it was dangerous or something

People used to think that cell phones were dangerous---that they contained some sort of "radioactive wave" or something.

A candidate does not have to necessarily win order to be impactful. For instance the green party ran Howie Hawkins for governor of new York in 2014. Because he got over 50,000 votes in the gubernatorial race, the green party fulfilled the state requirements to become a state recognized political party. Because of this, the party's capacity to be able to get their candidates on the ballot for positions in the state is greatly increased. In 2016, they are running candidates in 8 state senate races and 10 state assembly races.

Well I suppose I would disagree with her on that particular comment than. But not sure why you keep posting 'wtf she said this, she said that.'?

I think it would be fair to say if you look up every comment or thing any politician has said you are bound to find some things you disagree with, things they are incorrect about and things they don't really know much about, things they are ignorant about. There's never going to be a 'perfect' human running for office....they will all have flaws.

I still like her stance on many of the issues, and prefer her over both Hillary and Trump....doesn't mean I'd agree with everything she says or thinks. I think that would be asking for too much from any politicain, only way I'd get someone I agree with on everything would be if I could elect myself, and even then I might find myself at odds with myself on some topics.

Okay so my completely ignorant take on last night's town hall was that Stein and what's his face came off a lot better than I expected, as in they expressed themselves well and didn't sound as nutty when you were actually listening to them.

I have not looked up Stein's platform or debunked her views. For me, that would go way past checking Internet sites or what other people (who I don't know) say and I am simply not interested enough to do all that. I guess this how regular people feel about the two main candidates.

I was out of the room, but my husband said that they want to immediately withdraw all of our abroad military resources?? As in empty out the bases and come home, disarm OURSELVES? What?? Can someone who is following this closer confirm this insane idea?

If Bernie supporters actually want to make a difference, don't throw away your vote (and maybe help Trump win).

Do what the Tea Party did. TAKE OVER the democratic party! That means getting involved, and challenging encumbents at a local, state, and federal level.

Do this, and NEXT election, someone like Bernie will get the nomination!

Protest voting might feel good, but it won't get you anything REAL.

I suppose the point is since I have autism, I should vote for someone who's main focus is autism...I get it she's not convinced vaccines are always 100% safe, though I have yet to find anything where she actually implied she thinks they for sure cause autism.

I didn't say this person is right about everything...I said I like their positions on issues I see as being important, I am sure it's not up to the president which treatments/vaccines are helpful and which ones aren't. What about all the stuff Hillary and Trump say?

in any case, if she were the democratic nominee, i'd vote for her because I know she would NOT make it harder for me to get health care, unlike the GOP.
