I don't understand the premise of the "pro-women" snowplowing. Don't women drive in the city? Of course you have to plow the main streets first. The reason for keeping the downtown clear is not because men work there, it's because downtown is the centre of business. Good Lord.

Well the article I read the feminist who planed it basically said women won't work in the city so we wanted to clear the country walk ways so they can get to the schools and such. So the feminist were sexist in assuming women don't work in cities, which makes no sense to me more women work where I live then men who work. I dont know maybe Stockholm is still stuck in the 50s and women are just housewives?

It doesn't matter who does the ploughing, as long as the job gets done. I don't see why something like this would affect snow ploughing.

Because they took the tried and true (clear the main roads first) called it sexism by the imagined patriarchy, and so reversed it and out main roads last to be cleared and cleared walk paths and stuff in the country first.

Bet women still need police, fire and ambulances. Though I bet just as many women work in the city there as men.so the whole thing is sexist against women by feminists

What's feminist about claiming that women don't work, and just drive their cars back and forth to the local grocery store? :? It sounds to me like Stockholm made a sexist policy, and then blamed feminists when it failed.
The title should say, "Sexist Road-Clearing Policy Fails".

The reason for doing this is Sweden has a clear feminist leadership (self identifying as so and wanting implement many such draconian policies or already have under the banner of feminism). It may not be your idea of feminism, however it is mainstream feminism undeniably and not a fringe movement.

Never let Progressives formulate plans. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

Any person with a minimum of intelligence should know that one one plows first where the traffic will be heaviest.

Put the resources where the need is greatest then go and take care of the rest as a lesser priority.

But the feminists were the ones saying women are less likely to work. The feminists were the ones saying women are less likely to drive, hence clearing bike paths first.

I agree that to say that women don't work and drive is insulting to women. This is yet another example of feminists insulting women.

This policy was made as a direct result of feminist groups in Sweden. They've been demanding it since 2012.

The truth is many women do drive and do work and they need the arterial roads as much as anyone. I'm sure many women were inconvenienced by this feminist policy. Yet another example of feminism harming women.

Not a budget cut in this case.

The funding was actually increased, yet the new policy still resulted in decreased performance in spite of the budget increase.

The Scandinavian feminists needed to retake their crazy crown back from the Toronto feminists, and I dare say they've succeeded.

Is it true that certain Biblical and Quranic verses are classified as prosecutable hate speech, and that one can't use ethnicity in a description of a crime suspect in Sweden?

Montreal has taken to hiring street people to clear sidewalks during emergency snowfalls. They pay minimum wage. It seems to be a popular idea with almost everybody.

New York does something like this, too---but not directly referencing "street people" as Montreal does.

A very sensible idea, really.

The City didn't reference street people. It's not official, with all the paperwork. But when it turned out well the mayor stuck his name on it. Maybe somebody told the radio station. The homeless?

Under Communism, people can be unemployed, on purpose. It used to be called the labor surplus, or industrial army, and they would be conscripted into temporary labor.

Cornucopian (which is to say, someone who thinks there is enough to go around) has been used as a trivializing epithet.

But, my country throws away enough viable food to feed the world, and there are, according to some figures, six abandoned houses to every one homeless.

You expand and contract a virtual currency, at will, yet can't pay people, to do the work, according to first world standards of living.

I'm glad the program in Montreal was a success.

Is there a source for this other than a misogynistic douchenozzle?

If all people have equal status, and equal consequences, why are femdoms allowed to trade and abuse their female chattel.

I have traced the whereabouts of sex trolls, on other sites, and at least a third were women.

I am usually paleoconservative, in terms of gender roles, but have never made it an issue, in my public life, assuming that she was competent and polite.
