Indee he is.I'd rather have a lake house than a big gaudy tower plopped down in the middle of a huge metro area. But that's just me.I rather see golden leaves and flowers than a gold elavator.

That elevator makes me laugh ... it reminds me of the Wizard of Oz.

This could resolve itself in a number of ways, and as an onlooker I think the most exciting would be that the recount shows Hillary won the three States in question and gets the needed electoral votes to win. If this happens I don't think Trump will give up power. He's had a taste of it now. This would cause a split between those that support Hillary and those supporting Trump and then possible civil war.

Of course, I hope that doesn't happen.

Hey even if Clinton doesn't ultimately win the presidency, maybe Russ Feingold will win back his senate seat.

Trump's response:

Quote:
...in response, President-elect Donald Trump said in a statement: “The people have spoken and the election is over, and as Hillary Clinton herself said on election night, in addition to her conceding by congratulating me, ‘We must accept this result and then look to the future.’”

Trump called Stein’s effort a “scam” and said it was “just a way … to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount”.

“The results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused,” he added, “which is exactly what Jill Stein is doing.”

If the vote was recounted against Trump, won't that piss Russia and others off and continue our further likelihood of nuclear war? That's why I'm so afraid of this attempted recount. Not so much as a defense of Trump.

You might want to consider that when casting your vote, but you shouldn't let such things pervert your democracy. Lots of things piss Russia off, but you don't bow to their every demand to placate them.

FWIW, I think every country except Russia and maybe China would be pleased if Clinton won.

Most importantly:

- What chance do you think there is of nuclear war between the US and Russia within the next four years if Trump is elected?
- What chance do you think there is if Trump is not elected?

- More likely than Trump, but many people were discussing it.
- I also think we shouldn't challenge the results and accept them instead.

They are not so much challenging them as verifying them by double checking the process. If a discrepancy is found, then there would be a challenge.

Well I don't know. I don't think most people in the Green and Democratic party have accepted Trump, so why won't they challenge him?

I can't help that you didn't answer my questions...

I think nuclear war is pretty unlikely in any circumstance. A tiny change from "1 in 100,000" to "1 in 99,999" isn't worth throwing away democracy for.

Yes, accept the results... but I don't think it does any harm to check that the results actually are the results. I'm not getting my hopes up, and at this point I think Wisconsin swinging looks like pure fantasy, but better to get these questions out of the way than let them cloud the next four years.

Why does the media to this day do not want to forgive the US President-elect, Donald Trump, that He did not promised that he will not be challenging election results if he lose

And now Hillary Clinton challenging it

Trump challenged the election process before the election happened. Clinton is joining a movement started by Stein in reaction to information discovered after the election. In one case there is evidence in the other disparagement of the system with no evidence. See the difference?

In the past 22 hours, Trump has tweeted 12 times regarding the recount.

President Elect Trump wrote:
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally

If that's what he thinks, he should be supporting the recount.

Trump whined about it being rigged for how long? And now he's whining about a recount happening? That's pretty stupid but not surprising at all. Trump is a lying conman crook.

Trump has changed his mind on how many of his so-called "promises" so far? It really goes to show you, he has the mindset of many politicians- lying, sneaky and corrupt. He wanted to "drain the swamp" yet he's adding how many more evil people to his cabinet...

I'm not sure if the recount will find much but Hillary and Jill Stein have every right to do it, even if Trump or anyone whines about it.

A new hope.

not likely. The electoral college will cast its votes on Dec 19, 2016. After that the votes are certified by the electors and sent to congress which will certify the count by Jan 6, 2017. After Dec 19, 2026 it is too late for anyone to change anything. The courts have set Dec 12 as the latest date to make any legal motions challenging the elections.

Here is the bottom line: Trump will take the Oath on Jan 20, 2017 and that will be that. Get used to it. Trump was elected legally. Even though he had fewer popular votes than Her Hillaryship that does not matter. Under the American Constitutional system the electoral college elects the President, not the people.
