I think we need to stop being as cynical as we are. Can we, please?

I'd rather stay off the profoundly negative as I get that enough of us are teetering on the brink.
Where else can we safely let-off steam, or have a momentary whine, or whatever? I, for one, don't go-around whining in my everyday, in-person life----so, it's nice t'do it here, once-in-awhile; I can imagine that's how most people do / feel.
I don’t vent too much else where. There’s one person at work I’ll do it with who I feel safe with sharing. Otherwise I smile and lie. I don’t to be fake here.

What I mostly meant there is that I can easily go off into existential black holes and sometimes I get the feeling that it might be irresponsible to share some of my observations. I know there have been times where my own observations almost destroyed me and I start wondering, when those observations get bad enough, if I don't have a particular responsibility to shield the more vulnerable members here from certain trains of thought. I'm willing to go so far into certain ideas to give people the flavor, but I worry that it could have negative consequences to other people if I expound on the details.
I've actually had this concern sometimes even with people who aren't on the spectrum or even might be doing particularly well because some ideas can be an immense burden.

Ah! Good point----I see what you're saying, now.

That's from Ayn Rand isn't it? I never could figure out what this statement - "Reality is real" - actually means, because it is completely circular. It doesn't make sense.
No...
That is a Pepe-ism...
I know bugger all about Ayn Rand...
The last time I broached her I nearly got lynched...
A little hand shy atm...
When I as "reality is real" I am referring to *objective* reality as opposed to a social/community group think arbitrary reality which embraces fantasy concepts which were designed to pacify the emotional cravings some/most have for personal meaning in a bleak and uncaring life system...
BTW, I just heard about Brian Randolph Greene talking how evolution favoured religious beliefs...
I will be starting a thread soon...

I agree with your overall message----I was just saying yesterday that I don't want the kids to go without acknowledgement, but I'm tired of being overlooked.
The TV series: "The Good Doctor" is giving us a better social profile...
But better education is still required...

I chase people down the street whining...
What is wrong with whining?
