"Revanchist"?
Germany was humiliated and its economy was destroyed by the unjust Versailles Treaty inforced by those who were jealous of Germany's growing dominance at the time in Europe...
Revenge wasn't the prevailing mindset, surely...
It was a case of German national dignity...
Putin is manipulating the Russian people the same way...
I can definitely see the similarities between Hitler and Putin in that both gained political devotion by restoring Germany's and Russia's dignity and pride, respectively.

Nothing is too bold or too good for the man about Russia. He protects his state and makes enemies of others. Now people deem him to be the next Tsar of Russia, not a good look for democracy. Creates havoc in the tabloid media with setting off a nerve agent on European soil. His stale attempts at befriending western leaders in modern age suburbia, lends a backward arms appeasement cookbook that only fans the fire, already fanning its smoke around a cloaked democracy.
People should shroud themselves in the belief that justice will be a plate most humbly served to anyone who crowns the next dictator in the Passover soup.
Time to stop the policy of appeasement and get tough...
Diplomatic sanctions are a good start...
Concerns about a new cold war?
Where is the down-side?
Bring it on...
And besides, it will help with global warming...
This is a lame attempt at humour. Right? Please tell me it's so, because if you're actually serious...
I might be told off for saying this, but people who compare Putin (or more commonly, Trump) to Hitler are just idiots. They're simpletons who know absolutely nothing about the true character of the now defunct regime that caused unprecedented chaos and suffering in Europe during the 1930's and early 40's.
Putin is not the "next Hitler"! Enough with this mindless stupidity! I don't like Putrid either, I think he has been an utter disaster for Russia, and his supporters are misinformed (at the very least), but he is NOT like Hitler.
How is he "racist"? Provide an example of a group of people he despises because of their "race".
If I were comparing anyone in Russia to Hitler (which is, on the face of it, absurd), I would have selected Vladimir Zhirinovsky rather than Luk. I really do believe Zhirinovsky to be completely unhinged, judging by what I have seen of him and the views he has expressed and the beliefs he has consistently held.
You are entitled to your opinion, and so are others...
This is not Russia...
However...
Using argumentum ad hominem discredits your argument...
But you went to an even lower level: "name calling"...
Bottom of the pyramid...
Congrats...
Is too...

At the risk of breaking our uneasy truce, I have some sympathy for Lintar's statement. Bottom of the pyramid his response may be, but if there was a pyramid for the proponent of a political discussion... comparing a modern politician to Hitler would be at the bottom of that pyramid. It's endemic to our societies for some reason. I blame modern politicians primarily, they all seem to idolise Churchill.
I don't like this guy and his government
It's now 1938, anyone who disagrees with me is Neville Chamberlain.
I am Winston Churchill. Tally-ho into battle we go.
I'm guilty myself of dropping Hitler into discussions from time to time, but I strive to be a better man (... might make an exception for the next abortion thread though heehee).

Looks like fun bedtime reading!

Putin has openly stated that he doesn't consider Jews, Georgians or Tatars to be "really Russian" even if they have Russian citizenship.
There's also this guy.

I've had it with this crappy, poorly-maintained site. I tried responding to the comments above by quoting what was said, but ended up having to (three times!) state that "I am not a robot". Why am I still getting the CAPTCHA puzzles!? I completed them in the expectation that my original comment would appear, but no. I am also often redirected to YouTube when I log in, for some bizarre reason. Why is this site so buggy?
Anyway, as my final comment here at WP, I will say that using the "Hitler gambit" to argue one's case is also at the bottom of the "pyramid" when it comes to making a case for one's position, as someone else here pointed out. Deliberately refusing to see things from someone else's perspective (ex. that of ordinary Russians who know what it is like to have their nation encircled and then invaded - something Americans simply cannot empathise with, surrounded as they are by the giant moats called the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans) is also pretty low, especially when one knows that to do so would seriously undermine one's argument.
Anyway, I'm outta here! It's possible I don't even have Asperger's Syndrome anyway, because (among many other things) I don't have any "obsessions"; just the opposite, in fact. I can't relate to living with a tag, a label. I also do not care for identity politics, and I really do believe that autism should be cured, unlike most people here.
Gotta go, someone's waiting for this computer!

Methinks he actually left because this site is becoming more liberal.
It's not very hard to see why this site is becoming more liberal. When liberals rely on logic and principles instead of relying on political correctness and Democrat loyalty, we tend to win debates.
That's how we will prevent Trump's second term ... and prevent the rise of alt-right worldwide.

Amen, and Amen.
