Yeah it's definitely men that have had it tough through human history. I mean, when are us men gonna catch a break, right!?

I propose renaming this thread Oppression Olympics thread 1,000,000

Each gender has thier difficulties. Traditionally women have had it much more difficult now there is correction, partial correction and yes some overcorrection. If you are unfairly discriminated against, mistreated or stigmatized it does not matter if you are in the “privilaged group” or that the other group has it worse than your group, you are still being unfairly treated.

Money. From what Boy Scouts say, they needed to admit girls to prevent bankruptcy.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks maybe boys and girls can be safe together? I don't know, that's the way every school where I was worked, and it didn't seem so tragic. Does everyone now agree that setting up a safe environment for girls involves keeping boys away, and perhaps also vice-versa?

The most versatile solution would be to keep Boy and Girl Scouts segregated, and to create a similar organization for kids whose parents don't actually want them to stay ignorant of and insulated from the opposite sex for as long as possible.

They're probably going bankrupt because they were homophobic and anti-atheist for so long.

See? This is precisely why these sorts of issues are largely ignored.

When did anyone in this thread claim that women deserve to be raped and murdered? I don't think that people of either sex deserve to be raped or murdered.

When did any of us say that all women are evil? There are a lot of women who agree with OP.

How did incel terrorism come into this? That's like claiming that every feminist wants to kill men.

*sigh* Why do I even bother?

Accusing single guys of incel terrorism, out of blue, is the new rising trend here on WP. More will come.

Not to mention the lawsuits from sex abuse.

That is a myth as far as I'm concerned. Men have been forced to be slaves and soldiers throughout history.

I was born in 1983.

My mom wanted to get her tubes tied. She was told she needed her husband's permission.

I wonder how many men have needed their wife's consent for surgical procedures....

We’re late bloomers when it comes to coed scouts.

I'm glad your mother didn't get her tubes tied; otherwise, you wouldn't be here to harass us, Xfiles :P

Personally, I'd just make the girl scouts suck less.

Yep this right here^. Girl Scouts is awful.

She had her tubes tied after she had me. I was a difficult fetus. I kicked my placenta cord off the wall.

My point is that men and women have not been subjected to the same level of "oppression."

Safe spaces have been here forever, it was just not called that. What do you think fraternal organizations, ladies lunch clubs, the local Irish American Hall are? The problem is not safe spaces, it is weaponization and politicization and the overuse of them in a pathological avoidence way that is the problem.

I think a better question is if boys have Boy Scouts, and girls have Girl Scouts, when is some brave soul going to found an organization called Nonbinary Scouts?

Hmmmm.......

Was just gonna say that we should keep it the way its always been. Boyscouts for boys, and girlscouts for girls.

But now that you brought up nonbinaryism then ....I guess we hafta put all the kids together into just "the Scouts".

But...if you are young enough to be a member of the boy or girl scouts then you are too young to make decisions like vote. So you're also too young to decide that you're "nonbinary" yet. So...back to square one I say! Just pigeon them into boy scouts for boys, and girl scouts for girls. Whichever gender mom and dad say you are that's what you are, until you get to be voting age.
