I'm not sure I understand much of what you're trying to say.

regarding data analytics as a marketing tool: marketing execs are very unsure whether facebook's algortihms are actually any good for them - they advertise there, anyway, because half of the world uses ot daily, so, regardless of whether the algorithms work, the exposure range is just breathtaking.

apart from that: facebook does lip service to bettering its practices. personally, I could imagine a second newfeed, parallel to the usual one: one says: your friends liked this - and the other one could say: people unlike you liked this -

however, there's a lot of people unlike me, so, chances are I'd be getting a lot of news in farsi or some other language I don't speak in the "people unlike me"-feed.

I have no idea what facebook can do to redeem itself from its status as the world's free for all scream your opinion and state it as fact that it is. I mean, they do employ thousands of people to sift through the posts, but at 3 billion users, there's no way they can ever keep up and employ journalistic vetting.

According to Forbes, and here are two extracts:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/onmarketin ... 5d4fcc9511

Quote:
First Wave: Search Data

The emergence of search data was revolutionary because it helped marketers finally determine consumer intention. With search data, we got closer to a 1-to-1 marketing relationship with customers by responding at a unique query level with relevance. What we quickly learned, however, was that examining intention is limited and obviously lacks the ability to measure in-store. And while ecommerce measurement was possible, we still couldn’t solve attribution to store.

Third Wave: Local Data

As the Internet grew to become an experience increasingly delivered via a mobile device, location-based data or local data came into the mix. Local data represents a big step forward in bridging digital and in-store data, making the opportunity for true omnichannel measurement more real. Foursquare led the crowd here with the check-in and we began to see how digital exposure could drive real-world action. Local data is extremely powerful to the marketer, but still just one step removed from what really matters — the purchase. Just being physically in a store, even if you hold high office like mayor, doesn’t mean you are going to buy.

My prediction is that, like when mobile phones first came out, people will live enclosed lives once more, but will instead be encouraged to participate in activity X or activity Y.
The overall system becomes an adaptive system, but what happens under a system of adaptation?

Person A profits while Person B does not, but person A attributes his success to Person C or company 53. Person B promotes the fact that he has had a bad week because of personal losses, but it was all made better by Product X, a local fish and chip shop.

I suspect, based on this, that the term 'expert' has a very different meaning, and that expert simply means, allocated product. If there is an allocated demand, then that allocation can be tested in different settings for experimental purposes, and the overall scheme is seen as an ongoing experiment of gains and losses.

Therefore, we need alliances with the big data companies simply to reduce the amount of false content being produced for political purposes. But there is a problem. Entertainment. Entertainment is a paradise of false information. How can autistics pitch in and help form alliances with others and reach new understandings?

1. Autistics and aspergians take things very literally. If there is an inconsistency, report it to the group but don't hammer down on the individual. I myself may be between aspergers and neurotypical, or neither, but online there can sometimes be some issues with pedantics and bad conduct. It is overall, a pedantic issue.

2. Promote a new pedantics system. Group pedantics VS individual pedantics.

These are my current views.

Thank you for your participation so far Shlaifu, and others.

I was also thinking that there might be a 'pedantic' gene. But I would have to search for this. I would have to search for the gene records of what genes there are and which contribute towards language development.
