You know, many people often ask me personally if I am Jewish . The 1st post in this thread asked if there are Jewish people here on WP. American Jews are fairly successful as a people and arent exactly oppressed and this really is the FIRST time Ive ever encountered this kind of sensitivity about the spelling of the word "Jew". I wont falsely confess to lying when I didnt lie just because someone doesnt believe me. And Quatermass, you sound like you're trying to start a fight with me but I am not going to engage.

Thats the thing, your not such a bad guy, I don't consider you a resident troll, like some of the others, but somethings really hit a nerve with people, like people who are Jewish, they have been thought to much bigotry all thought history, some topics should not be bought up out of respect. I suppose so. A little off topic but nonetheless relevent: regarding the other ethnic thread I posted I thinks its important for folks outside of the US to understand that Hispanics are NOT a race! They are a cultural and linguistic group. Hispanic means spanish speaking; and so there are white folks, even blacks, who could be considered hispanic. "Brown" is a term that latinos, especially mexicanos use to indentify themselves racially. Most Latin Americans are racially mixed between white european and native american; even though in certain countries the people strongly identify themselves with their spanish heritage(like Cubans and Puerto Ricans). But Mexicans however, consider themselves to be descended from the Aztecs. Mexico is sort of the Odd Man Out in Latin America because its the only country in the *New World* where the majority of the people are of predominately native ancestry and quite proud to be so(Aztec, Toltec, Olmec, Zapotec, and other lesser known tribes).

If some Jewish person Irsael found this thread then that would be interesting in my opinion but be careful when do stuff ethics, D or you will be regretting in the end.

I am what is called Metis which we consider one of the newest races, made up of native and european, sort of what the hispanics are, who are made up of even more diverse races, this is how people in north america are becoming, a mixed culture and people.

My German great grand father was possibly German, or Amish since they originally came from
Pennsylvania in a predominantly Amish area, the last name Widel is thought to be of Jewish origin.
