How magnanimous of you.
Tell you what. The day that heterosexuals stop flaunting their spouses by displaying pictures of them, publishing wedding announcements, expecting them to be treated with courtesy and respect in hospitals, opening joint bank accounts and buying property together, then I will stop flaunting my sexuality in public as well.
I thought you believed in freedom of expression. But perhaps it's only heterosexuals who are free to express themselves by holding hands in public.
I thought you believed in equal protection of the law. But perhaps it's only heterosexuals who are entitled to make decisions about their loved one's critical care.
Try putting yourself in someone else's shoes for a minute. Think about what life is like on the other side of the fence, and then measure that against the ideals that you supposedly hold dear.
If you cannot stand up for equality--for everyone's equality--then you are nothing more than a hypocrite of the most odious kind.
