I feel sorry for those poor soldiers, they are just cannon fodder for Putin.I’m sure they would prefer to be home with their families instead of terrorizing innocent people.

I believe everyone with sane mind would prefer them to be there.

We can only hope and pray they head home soon.
The sad thing is Putin will probably send more, he’s not the type to back down and the resistance in Ukraine is making him look foolish and weak in the whole world’s eyes.He thought he would just swoop in and take over easily. He really underestimated the strength and willpower of the Ukrainian people.
He won’t like that.He will want to win at any cost, even if he pulls the whole world down with him. When he gets desperate, he will be even more dangerous.

pootin has been humiliated.
His invincible war machine has been shown not to be so invincible after all.
This will put pootin in a weaker position when it comes to threatening NATO.
The silly goose.

Seems their corruption has left their military vehicles ill equipped for service. Poor maintenance, crappy chinese knock-off tires etc = their trucks are stuck in the mud. Hopefully they're parked there long enough for Ukrainian/NATO forces to get their act together well enough to take 'em all out before they can get to Kyiv. 8)

pootin wasn't going to upset his old mate xi, by disrupting the genocide games.
And he has paid the price, it seems.

I don't get why you disagree with what I said. Perhaps, I should have added some things. Remember, I gave you a "very simple" take on this.

Am afraid PePe ,, the world Ogliarchs have already decided the fate of Ukraine . Several people in the financial industry,I have spoken to seem to think it is a foregone conclusion . Putin cannot afford another embarrassment
Like Afghanistan . Their own military would be considering them a laughing stock, I think .
Although , I do think they need to learn the ways of peace. Quietly overthrowing a duly recognized government from within , kinda like the USA has done many times over the years . Putin has crippled his own country but being the
Big country that has actually made full scale ground War on a neighboring country, Will give Russia , great large hero’s of the Ukraine war , who will be held up as examples to his society for years to come . And as Usual the winners will write the history of this War for their country .
I do hope what’s left of the Ukrainian people make a good account for themselves , against the Russians .

Total agreement.
I have said from the beginning that I thought Russia would subjugate Ukraine.
I hope I am wrong, but my view hasn't changed.

This has been a humiliating experience for pootin.
He won't back down no matter how many lives will be lost, imo.

Russia's military has proven to be "laughingstocks" many times over.

They are like the Keystone Kops, frankly....

That's the sentiment I heard among my coworkers here...

...which is why I'm confused by the gleeful support of Ukranian efforts, mostly here, actually. I fail to see the honor in sending people to slaughter.

Something's not right. The force has been exercised in Syria, they should be in better shape. Even in Georgia they performed okay-ish.

Lack of morale, and outright sabotage of effort seems to be at play here. While in theory it's commendable, it does prolong the conflict, potentially making it deadlier.

You don't get why people cheer when the people engaging in atrocities are successfully resisted?
Well, you see, enough successful resistance can alter the outcome of conflicts. Should Finland have not resisted the Soviets? Should Poland just laid down arms to the German and Soviet armies? (so on, so forth)

Resistance helps demonstrate further resistance is possible. The more motivated a force is to resist occupiers the less possible it is for an occupation to occur.

I'm not "gleeful".
I'm respectful of their sacrifice.
I can't see myself doing it if I were in their position.
I don't see this as a failing on my part, btw.
