Does anybody see an element of P. T. Barnum in Trump? He believes there's a "sucker born every minute," too.

He was the early-mid 19th century embodiment of "retro-tycoon."

Most certainly he is.

Trump and company have so many self inflicted gunshot wounds in their feet that I'm amazed they can still stand!

I haven't followed this story very closely, but for quite a while a top computer tech for the House Democrats (Debbie Wasserman Schultz, etc.) has been under investigation for computer-related crimes in the Congressional computer network. He's now been arrested at the Washington DC airport on charges of bank fraud:

Earlier, the FBI seized smashed parts of hard drives at the guy's residence:

FBI agents seized smashed computer hard drives from the home of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s information technology (IT) administrator, according to two sources with knowledge of the investigation.

Pakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, an individual whom FBI investigators interviewed in the case told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.

An additional source in Congress with direct knowledge of the case, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, confirmed that the FBI has joined what Politico previously described as a Capitol Police criminal probe into “serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network” by Imran and three of his relatives, who had access to the emails and files of the more than two dozen House Democrats who employed them on a part-time basis.

Capitol Police have also seized computer equipment tied to the Florida lawmaker.

Among the various claims of "Russian hacking" to help Trump (I can't keep track of them), there was one major hack of the DNC that got sent to Wikileaks and exposed DNC corruption, presumably to Trump's benefit. "See, the Russians are manipulating the election for Trump!" cried Hillary's minions.

Computer forensics is now pointing to this not being an external hack/leak, but an internal copying of files by someone with direct access to the servers. Enter Imran Awan, the DNC's IT guy, now under arrest for bank fraud. Starting to look in this case like "Russian hack" was another phony DNC line to cover up an internal security breach by this guy.
