Not only should pedophilia be illegal they should be dealt with accordenly with a machete to the neck.

I disagree! Reasons mentioned in previous posts. AspieOtaku, I don't see a reason why you have to post replies like that again and again. I don't support molesting and kidnapping. I think I stated that in previous discussion. I don't support the guys in the video either. If the guy attempted to molest and kidnap a child, he should have been judged. But the guys didn't have the right to beat him.

Can you provide any evidence that sex offender registration actually has any benefits? (peer-reviewed only, please)

I can empathize with the hang 'em high approach as much as anyone.
The reality is, people who are sexually-attracted to children are genuinely-sick people.

I had a human sexuality professor (psychologist on parole boards, that kind of thing) who had done extensive work with rapists and child molestors, and she said in her experience, and in her clinical practice, there was next to no success in successfully-rehabilitating a pedophile- the sexual attraction would likely always be there, unless they agreed to chemical castration.

Just thought I'd share. I'm certainly glad the little girl didn't come to any harm.

Actually its a good reason to hate these kinds of people they violate innocent children to satisfy their sick desires.As a result the children are forever traumatized I am sorry those kinds of people don't deserve sympathy.If you were to let them off with a slap on the wrist they will surely do it again.

Wouldn't you also have to remove their arms and legs, depending on the nature of the personality of the abuser to prevent further abuse?

TBH, for those that cannot be changed, keeping them in a secure unit is perhaps the best all-round option.

What is paedophilia? People need to be clear about this - a lot of people who are called paedophiles really aren't by any stretch of the imagination - for instance, with those men that end up sleeping with teenage girls that are pretty much physically developed (and would be above the AOC in many countries).
