A raptor is a bird of prey, not a reptile or whatever that thing is.
If blasphemy were against the rules you'd get spanked.

Velociraptors are frequently called "raptors" for short.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velociraptor

Hence, no blasphemy occurred.

Velociraptors are also not reptiles

Well, that's one theory anyway. We'll never know for sure if they were actually warm-blooded enough to be birds, no?

From what I have read, the limited tissue samples discovered seem to suggest warm blooded animals, in addition to their geographic distribution including places hostile to reptiles (such as polar climates). The evidence of their life cycles also do not suggest they had to actively work to control their body heat like reptiles do, with basking in the sun or shade being large parts of a reptile's day.

Huh. Can I get a source on that? Not that I don't believe you - I'd just be interested in doing some follow-up reading. 'Cause, you know, who doesn't like dinosaurs?

I read it in an issue of National Geographic, Discover or Popular Science, and not that recently. A general search on "Dinosaur physiology & metabolism" might bring up more on the subject. It is certainly not something completely agreed upon with another alternative being that the size of many of the largest Dinosaurs may have helped to maintain a stable body temperature. I don't really know which one is correct (obviously) but I suspect it is not exactly warm or cold blooded, maybe some kind of intermediary physiological lineage that does not have any modern examples to make us familiar with this sort of physiology
