Yeah...it changes....and usually in a positive direction in most ways.

The changes from 1990-2000--except for the Internet---were not as dramatic, from an objective standpoint, as the changes from 1890-1900. The changes from 1900-1910 were even more dramatic.

Yes indeed, and sometimes devastating things happen during the process of change. Like in the first two World Wars and The Great Depression from the early 1900's, but eventually things get better in the end.

In every dark night there is always the promise of dawn. :sunny:

Speaking of weird dates. Both the American Civil War and American Civil Rights movement happened in the 1860's and 1960's, which resulted in two presidents being assassinated and the liberation of people of color who were being oppressed. Concidence? :chin:

That's what happened with the Black Death in the 14th century. Great devastation. Great tragedy. 1/4 of the European population perished within a very few years.

The start of "Modernity," nevertheless.

The 1760s were "quiet" in comparison.

Nobody was liberated. The United States was still a colony of Great Britain----and they were resisting "taxation without representation," but they weren't thinking of a "revolution" yet.

Another good point. :D

And yeah I dont think every century experiences the same events, but the Civil Rights and Civil War eras had some very strange concidences indeed.

Excellent diagram of my conclusions.

I guess my cards were right, a big change to the world is indeed coming. :|

Those changes encountered quite a monkey wrench in 2016. Hence all the anger.

I know this thread is a jokey fun one, but this one always angers me. It's the strawiest of strawmen arguments.

The relevent question isn't "What if its a hoax and we create a better world for nothing."

It's "What if we try to implement massive changes to create a better world, fail to do so, tank our economy, ignite a war, and still have solved nothing?"
