It's been verified by the Supreme Court before that the right to free speech is not a right to say whatever you want whenever and however you want.

Public profanity in areas populated by small children isn't protected by free speech, nor is shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater.

With rights come responsibilities.

that is accurate, however, the cirmstances have to be such that the limitation of that free speech is for the public good (as in not yelling Fire in a crowded place and people being hurt or killed as a result)

True, people should take care not to prevoke others with their words, but still, those that are prevoked must exibit self control at some point. Again there are extunaiting cirmstances such as yelling a person deserved it at a funeral of a KIA soldier (as happened last week in the midwest I think it was). had one of the family members at that funeral at the time of the verbal assault been prevoked enough to, in a fit of rage, attack a protester, both of the individuals would have seen litigation.
Slander and Lible are both illegal, as they are lies aginst a person in writing or speech that defimate the character of that person. Again "free speech" is limited here, and has been held up bythe supreme court numerous times.
The difference here, in the forum on the robertN subject, is that no one printed lies, and no one was prevoking a person for the sake of causing harm. We shoudnt bait each other here as we all know aspies are notorious for being of a set mind. I think we all want to sway another to our view point, and I think it can be done with out name calling, insults, and general hatefullness toward any individual or group.
but again its my opinion. And Im kinda like this, If you dish it out, you have to be able to take it and be willing to accept any and all consequences for said actions.

Can we break with tradition and allow a Tufted Titmouse the honor of nominating someone for moderatorship.

Ladysmokeater is more than qualified. She is well thought out and reasonable. Also, i believe it sounds as if she agrees with the terms of Service.

and of a personal note, she has been working her way up my 'to stalk' list.

I mean my efficiency list.

and of a coincidental note. Her signature reminds me a little of Vetiverts signature.

Both of which we should debate in a seperate thread.

McJeff, only 22 posts to your name. I can see that you are a bonafide contender in the debating forums. And if you aren't careful, you, too might end up on my 'to stalk' list. It currently includes about 12 people, but i am taking new recruits all the time.

Is the "to stalk" list something I should be flattered or scared of?

Thanks none the less for the complement.

its just the coolest new trend around.

Its all very secrative though. One isn't quite sure if they are on it, until you notice me posting right after you often.

And then i spam you with pm. Just kidding, i only did that to Hale Bopp, twice.

No i made a thread about it along time ago. back then i was only making threads in General discussion (trolling).
By a long time ago, i mean about a week.

Ask eamonn to find it, he's got a collection of everthing i ever posted, Aspies like to collect sets of things that interrest them, apparantly, i interrest him.

I will offer one name that is on my 'not to stalk' list;

Alex.
he never offers an opinion, he is concise and terse.
But, after i got an eyeful of his headshots i have been reconsidering.

Do people around here know that i am all about the fun. And i never mean to hurt peoples feelings (except the one time with RobertN and several times with Sean).

I now wonder, if this then that, it could be argued that i am near getting in trouble. I offer up in my defense one simple bit of evidence. An empty warehouse sized box of sudafed.

This post is certainly a good argument against rational thought, and a clearly written, organized message. As well as a slew of other spectrum issues. Is Hyperman, assuming my identity?????

Get thee behind me!

Your getting Stalked²

I noticed you didn't refute the idea of being a moderator.

What does that mean?
Hmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmmmm

still, i dont know!
What does that mean?

And i won't be like Sean, constantly reminding Gallileo Ace that he did it for him. Because i don't think that way. You are you, i didn't make you who you are you are just you. And you are perfect for consideration, being you and who you are. But i will constantly remind you that i have an eye for talent, Ask Neuroman!

Stalked (2)²

sorry i noticed you winked, non verbal reading is my absolute worst.

By winking you knew the answer, and i have, once again, wasted everybodies precious time.

Sorry folks!

Sudafed, Sudafed, Sudafed.

Being sick isn't really as bad as people make it out to be. But i suppose that for a NT it is because no one wants to catch what you've got, so they won't socialize with you. The curse of the NT, some aspie scientist obviously created the common cold to get back at those Chatty Jerks.

I collect names (potential stalking honorees)

I collect power tools ( i have everthing made by Festool and the accessories)

I collect information ( i swear that my brain processes every minute moment that occurs each day, i might not even be aware of the matter, but like a week later it pops into my conscious, and i go, ah iget get it, that makes perfect sense). I suppose everybody does, but i doubt that every person analyzes it to completion, without even considering it.

I collect Home Improvement Books (my step dad was an ogre, with no patience. He knew how to do everything around a house. I learned nothing. But as an adult i decided i wanted to learn. You may be amazed at what i have learned to do and have done. More amazed that i am still alive to talk about it)

I collect anything on clearance (self explanitory, but i cannot pass up a deal, even on crap i don't, nor will ever need.

I collect Baseball cards ( i own about a half million cards, the value is subjective)

I collect Simpson 'seasons' box sets (perhaps the most well written show in the history of TV)

Like you, i have more, but i cannot think of them now.

P.S.
I didn't mean that winking was a waste of time. My reply was a waste of time, since i didn't, at first, catch the  . If i had caught the  , then i would have known that, you already knew the answer.

Also,
if you get invited to be a moderator, don't forget the little people. Don't abandon your roots.
