No need for a bookish suit of armor. Just read Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time". It will help.

ok i will.
i know that he considers that black holes are actually "brown" holes (ie: they fritter away over time), and i am interested to see his description of what radiance is able to surpass light velocity to evaporate a black hole.

will he say that the escape velocity from a black hole is less than the speed of light? if so, then why do they emit no light or any other energy? is there something that is "ethereal" and not bound to the speed of light that is the reason for energy leakage and dissipation of black holes?

i will get the book and i am done with this discussion until i am interested to contribute further.

Good luck. It's not an easy read but the only mathematical formula in the book is E = mc^2

Have you ever wondered, if God really created earth, so we then built his kingdom, in earth. Why did he waste so much space AND time? I mean, there are not only millions of stars out there, there are actually s*hitloads of galaxies out there... we are not even sure whether this is the only universe or not. Just the size of a galaxy is incredibly large, we would take years to go from this planet to the closest star if traveling in light speed!.

We are a incredibly small point in space... And we are also an incredibly small point in time... nevertheless the universe is so big that there is a "light horizon" meaning that there are parts of the universe we cannot see, because they are so far away that the light from them didn't reach us yet...

So my question is, why would God bother creating all so much space and taking so long just so we had a planet in which to build a kingdom of Christian values?

You presume the existence on an entity for whose existence there is not one shred of empirical evidence. Not a bit. You postulate a fantasy, then you ask a question about this fantasy.

It is funny to me that some people, who are normally rational individuals will declare certain truths where there are none. The shape of our universe for example, claiming to know what it is is akin to claiming there is a god. It's a belief based on presented information, yet unprovable and therefor not scientific fact.

Some of those here with the attitude of indignation should reevaluate their own beliefs on the subject and stop presenting them in an aggressive converting manner.

There are no scientific "facts". There are only hypotheses supported by current evidence which may change when further evidence indicates otherwise. But suppositions with no evidence should be regarded as extremely dubious at best.

I don't claim to know with any certainty if God created the universe or if God was born with the creation of the universe. What the Bible tells us on this is a story born of time and place, and not meant to state complete scientific facts as much as an idea, that "God created our world and created life." While we suppose that means that God created the universe, another interpretation is plausible.

As for "wasted," who knows what is "wasted" and what serves a purpose unknown to us? No matter how large your home is, you are likely to store all your underclothes in a single location. Lol, sorry, I don't mean to compare us to underclothes, but that was the example that sprang to mind of how a being logically uses space. There would be logical or practical reasons for placing the living things together, and there would be reasons for leaving space between planets, etc.

I know, that's why I get cranky when I see people acting in a manner contrary.

My theory is that space is in fact a thing.

I used to think that if you got to the edge of the universe the galaxies and stars would peter out and there would be nothing but blackness.

But it occured to me one day that actually not only would matter and energy end at the universe's edge, but empty space itsself would also end.

The fact we cant imagine the absense of all 3-energy matter AND empty space is because we are made up of those things ourselves.

So beyond the edge is nothing-not even empty space. the universe is this little bubble of energy matter and space.

And einstien showed that empty space was something-because he showed that it was bendable and warpable. So Im building on einstein by suggesting this.

There is no "edge of the universe" just as there is no edge of the surface of the Earth. The universe is a four dimensional manifold. You have much to learn.

Im being a bit faceatious about the universe having an edge. There were several theories about the whether the universe in saddle shaped or spherical or whatever. Yours is just the current fad theory.

There is a difference between a fad and a supposition that seems to fit known observations. I am aware of the theories but the big bang seems real and a four dimensional sphere with the radius in the time dimension makes easy sense to my comprehension. There is nothing absolute about this but it is an easy fit.

This is directed at, whoever: Can you disprove the existence of God?

The existence of God is irrelevant if God is assumed to be capable of doing anything. No phenomena observed require the existence of God nor would it be pragmatically useful to assume God's existence. Why bother?

So that's not a "yes", you're just not interested...

Since all the punishments and rewards of faith and non-faith are the result of the actions of people who are, at least in this matter, relatively insane, I don't see why I should be concerned. Superstition is childish nonsense and although it can be amusing it is mostly just a dangerous bit of human mental derangement utilized by crooks and scammers for personal gain.

That's precious.
