you read to many polls man, relax. christians aren't to smart either since they couldn't even get there own religion but had to ripoff the jews. and now jesus christ in washington thinks he's gonna usher in his kingdom in iraq.

Look, I am not going to make any assumptions about the intelligence or whatever of republicans or democrats. There are plenty of intelligent members of both groups and both have some logic backing them as well as their own intellectual figures. As well, most voters are christian so it is no surprise that most voters for republicans will be christian and it is very likely that a large number of democrat voters will be christian probably a majority there as well, however, both groups have their non-christian voters, atheists might like conservative pro-business policies or strong foreign policy depending on their beliefs. I didn't put up that map to show that "everybody" supported Bush but rather that plenty of states outside of the south voted for him, heck, there were a few states that were in the mid-eastern northern part of the state that had much larger margins favoring Bush than Texas.

To be honest, to state that Christians are stupid because of the nature of their religion is to ignore the nature of religion, it is more of a cultural thing than one of intelligence and by that token it could be said that Christians were cleverer because they were able to get great cultural control over the world and the fact that many of the great more-modern empires grew while they had Christian dominance. I tend to reject the idea that one religion is greatly smarter than another due to the influence of that religion.

It's more an indicator of education than intelligence someone could be very smart but poorly educated becuse of disadvantaged upbringing but have a high polential of learning

Voting is more than just supporting your polical party and towing the party line I vote for some republicains and some democrates even some independants

this is a good post. i would agree with all of it exept the last statement, i would change it from saying that to this; i tend to regect an idea that one pirticular religion is the only way to god. i think all of the religions of the world have genuinelly ripped off the sumerians ideas about the creation of man and noah's flood story. the jews followed, then the christains came and after them it was the muslims.

They're doing the same thing in Europe, if that will comfort you at all (probably not). In the year 2000, the Swedish state and church were separated after about 1000 years together. At the same time, muslims are allowed to wear burkas on their jobs and take breaks for praying and "halal" slaughterhouses are built especially for them. The sickest political correctness. They separate the christian religion from the state but integrate the muslim religion in the state. Sick. And I'm not even religious, I just find it totally unlogical and hypocritical.

i can almost guarantee the next president won't be a republican. of course i don't like the democrates either but what can you do. thats why having a majority two party system sucks, because each sides develoupe a gang mentality twords one another. i think political party's all together should be thrown out, with the exeption of indepedent. you can vote either way you want and there's no gang mentality so there's nothing to prove to the other party. but that will never happen because the government is currupt. Also a presidents term should be 6 years at no chance at re-election, nobody can get anything done in 4 years, and then all they worry about is getting re-elected another 4 years to get done what they said they were going to do the first 4 years they were president. soooo yeah.

If Conneticut had ports of entery and counted all the goods coming into the states from other states and countries, the trade imbalance would be massive. yet the state is one of the wealthiest states in the country.

Clinton is in bed with the Rockefellers who are big oil and owned Standard oil of America. Bubba Clinton let Exxon/Mobil merge back together and they fully knew that raising taxes and paying down the federal debt would make for a strong dollar and cheap oil so people would think nothing of building 4000 square foot McMansions 50 miles from their jobs and buy 10 million ford explorers and once they where hooked on fuel,the Rockefeller clan could rake in massive profits,like record setting profits,profits they never even dreamed where possable when John D. Rockefeller ran Standard Oil.

it's run by white people an it's just human nature not to want to be pushed around by other groups of people, so the minorities refuse to cooperate in their own education because doing so would be submitting to the white man.

A black man started a charter school in my town and emloyee's 100% white woman teachers,the kids state mastery test scores exceeded the wealthiest town in the state. It's all a head game and they will do what their teacher tells them to do because she is being told by a black man to do it. So it isn't some white woman pushing them around,she is doing what the black man told her to do and the kids know who is running the school and they don't want to be reported to the black man as not doing their home work and have to answer to him and he will get their parents involved and unlike when the black parent walks into the white school,the parent isn't blamed by the white administrator for being the problem,the parent is shown respect by the black administrator and they tag team the crap out of the kid to make him/her get with the program.

It don't work in the public schools even if some uncle tom is put in charge,the kids see right through it and know he put on knee pads and kissed whities butt to get to where he is at.They won't respect an uncle tom.

The only way to correct the schools is to turn the funding over to the people who's children attend the school and let them vote in their own board of education just for their school and let their BOE hire their principal who hires the teachers,this central school office in some high rise just don't work because it removes all control over the school from the people who use the school and turns it over to a bunch who could care less and are just there for a paycheck.

The New England states go liberal because of the white vote, actually. The southern states contain most of the minorities in this country today. Their typically-left leaning votes, however, are masked at the electoral college stage by the just lightly larger and heavily Republican white majorities in those states.

Democrats should be concerned about the South. Republicans are becoming more and more popular with blacks, and let's face it, Bush is the improverished Mexican's best friend (and he let's them KNOW this, infuriating ultraconservatives).

The old, "white" states are the states that vote Democratic consistently, regardless of minorities present.

In CT. the election results are mostly cities to democraps and the burbs to the republicans.

The cities have huge populations of minority people.

I could go look up the elction results and crunch down the numbers of minorities and probably prove if they were removed from the picture and state would be Bush country
But it's not worth the effort to make a point on the internet
