Your thoughts about Donald Trump?
He is a capitalist parasite turd if there ever was one and ought to be impaled Vlad Tepes style 35%  35%  [ 12 ]
He is a corrupt scumbag....but there are more revolting humans 41%  41%  [ 14 ]
He has bad hair and looks like a flesh-colored Koi, but I can deal with him. 9%  9%  [ 3 ]
He is decent fellow with some faults like the rest of us, but I think he'd make a decent commander-in-chief 12%  12%  [ 4 ]
He should be canonized by the Church of Ayn Rand, we all owe him a debt of gratitude and you can suck eggs in hell Horus 3%  3%  [ 1 ]

This has got to be one of the most foolish claims I've ever heard. Aside from supporting selective withdrawal from wars unless "we get oil out of it" and having supported healthcare reform a few years ago (he's against the present bill), what exactly is "leftwing" about Donald Trump?

Aside from perhaps the the protectionism and troop withdrawal, these aren't leftwing beliefs. Besides, Trump's trackrecord is one of running businesses into the ground as an overcompensated CEO. An incompetent plutocrat is the last thing the left likes.

I don't care about Obama one way or another....never did. He's just another polished, smooth-tongued, lying elitist servant of the American/international socio-economic elites, the military-industrial complex, the phony "liberals" like Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, George Clooney and Bill Maher.

After all....liberals (in America at the very least)


Again....my way is also a third way IMO. Neither "liberal" or "conservative"....neither democrat or republican.


While I identify myself as a Libertarian Socialist (and an atheist/anti-theist)....that's just for simplicity's sake.


That is....my personal worldviews are closer to the aforementioned political/economic/religious philosophies than any others. Still... they are far more complex, nuanced and even, conflicting, in certain
instances and I don't have the time now to expand upon them in anyway which would permit no misunderstanding.

Trump has flip flopped on a lot of issues such as abortion, gun control, health care, and pretty much everything else. You can't really nail the guy down on a position. If Trump were to end up running as an independent, he'll change them once again. He was a Democrat up until like 2009 and was part of the Reform Party before that and Republican again before that. He's donated to like John McCain, Harry Reid, Rudy Giuliani, Ted Kennedy, Mark Foley, John Kerry, Newt Gingrich, Chuck Schumer, Charlie Rangel, the DSCC, pretty much everybody. At the the very least you can say his conservative credentials are lacking.

I suppose the poster is some sort of conservative himself? They often seem to make this sort of claim about other indefensible conservatives/rightists.

Jonah Goldberg did just that in his book, "Liberal Fascists" did he not???


As if Ralph Nader, George Orwell, Mihkail Bakunin, Noam Chomsky, John Zerzan, etc....have anything MEANINGFUL in common with Hitler, Goebbels, Goring, etc.... or even Italian Fascists/Futurists/Traditionalists like Julius Evola, Count Ciano, Mussolini, etc.... :roll:

I'd support protectionism (if we insist upon a capitalist economic system in any form that is) and troop withdrawal, but neither position is exclusive to the left of course.

In fact.....I hear way more about protectionism these days from people like Pat Buchanan, Ron Paul and other rightists.

As for troop withdrawal....I also hear quite a bit about that (and agree with it....and feel like i'm agreeing with devils...LOL) from the same sort of people.

Donald Trump did consider running for the Reform Party in 2000 (Pat Buchanan's former party).
