Is Israel entitled to a continuous expansion of its territory?

Apparently so, the creeping colonialism of the 'settlements' isn't actually expansion, the carving up of the landscape by the effective creation of no-go zones and the demolition of homes isn't actually expansion, apparently these are all entirely defensive acts along with internment, random sniper fire and constant interuption of movement and racial harasment, any other interpretation is apparently entirely spurious and based on leftist/anti-semitic/islamist propaganda and must be dismissed

Obama is just trying to drum up liberal support. Look at his actions, not his words. The Israel lobby isn't abandoning Obama.

The Semites and the Asians are the smartest humans on the planet.

Culture, culture, culture.

Jewish families often (though there are so many different types of Judaism that this kind of stereotyping is really asinine, but it does help to illustrate a general truth of a more abstract nature to exploit the damn stereotype anyway) place a great deal of pressure on their youth to live up to certain expectations, and rites of passage such as the Bar Mitzvah are tied in with it. Also, it is common in certain Asian cultures (which is a confusing label because Kazakh, Azeri and Sarchop are also Asian, and there are a lot of Asian cultures where the literacy rates are embarrassing by the standards of a cave man. Therefore, just to be clear, I am referring to the stereotypical "successful yet insanely anal-retentive Asian guy who keeps checking his wrist-watch and seems to have a few peculiar tics suggesting possible OCD") for parents to similarly drive their offspring, often with cuffs and blows, to do well and "make the family proud."

Besides, I was just trying to annoy people who cry "racism" for extremely stupid reasons. They annoy me. I should also admit that I have been getting lax in taking my fish oil lately, which I use to keep my moods stable and prevent rage attacks associated with my Tourettes (they come with full-blown "exorcist syndrome" with the deep falsetto voice and all that). In fact, I might owe a few apologies...

...which I'll get to after I've had a good night's sleep because earlier today I had to cut up a bunch of large tree limbs with a rusty, flimsy hand-saw after failing to realize that you can't run a gas-powered chain saw on simple oil and gas and that, if you attempt to do so, you then have to take the thing in for expensive repairs. That was only AFTER failing to get an OS installed on an antique machine I was going to try to sell for about ten bucks or some miniscule sum, therefore taking away time I could have devoted to working on a more profitable project I had set aside for it. Meehhhhhhhhhhh.

Oh yeah, and to reiterate my views on this whole mess, it might be a good idea in theory for Israel to move back to their old borders, but it is a political impossibility just like effing tort reform is an effing political impossibility. Anyone with half a brain realizes it would be wonderful, but trying to make it work in practice would be a royally stupid waste of time.

Only because the Palestinians are only really angry because they miss being able to treat the Jews as second-class citizens, and Muslims get a stupid complex every time they are confronted with the idea that maybe Islam isn't the only culture in the universe that has the capacity for being tasteful or producing good ideas.

That is, the Pals are bloody ignorant bigots in the Jesse Helms sense. It's the 800 pound gorilla in the room that nobody wants to discuss. The Pals won't be happy until they've managed to reassert themselves as "the cool kid in town," and that's that.

No, it is more of a religious issue. Muslims are pissed that Israel even exists and the people running the Palestinians will not be content until every Israeli is murdered. I thought Atheists were constantly screaming about how religious fanatics are dangerous, guess in an atheist's mind that only applies if we're talking about Christians and Jews...

Let's take a chunk of land the size of 25% the US territory and put it in the center of the US and give it to a new nation of native Americans. Inuyasha and other patriots promise that they won't be pissed at the creation of such thing.

In my view, the Israelis at this juncture are completely in the right for two reasons:

1. The Palestinians (particularly Hamas) has made it plainly clear that they want to kill every Israeli down to the last newborn infant.

2. The Palestinians have used their own children as explosive devices.

For those two, reasons (and there are others I can list) Israel is completely justified in their actions.

And yet there are five palestinians dead at israeli hands for every israeli dead at palestinian hands.

Israel is a glorified terror state,
and I'm thoroughly ashamed my tax dollars finance its genocidal campaigns.

The Israeli people are just fine but mossad. Assasians are never the answer. Didnt Mossad murder a leader of Hamas?

Agreed. It seems to be lost on many people that whenever Israel makes a unilateral territorial concession, the the request of the US, there is always a war when some nutter group fills the power void. The intelligent and not so crazy leaders within Palestine do not have the political power to ensure their control of greater territory. The moderates cannot even control the present territory. There is a high chance that a new palestinian uprising will take place by the end of this year.

That would be the Jihad movement, yes. In fact, Hamas is only the most prominent of these, not the most dangerous.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I am very pro-Israel. I am just think Likud is a bunch of screw-ups. Benjamin Netanyahu is a racist douchebag, and he's apparently determined to dick over Israel's relationship with the US, apparently entirely over Barack Obama's Kenyan background and some time he spent in, of all effing places, Indonesia.

The Kadima people are just inclined to sensibly defend their interests, of which I approve.

I think you would find N. Korea more of a "terror state" than Israel. And if the Israelis really did genocide they would have no more problem with the Palestinians because there would be no more Palestinians.

Your use of the term genocide is careless and sloppy. I have no doubt that it reflects the general quality (or lack thereof) of the rest of your thinking.

A congress person from Minnesota and 100 percent American.

You and I are paying her salary, not the State of Israel.
