Pretty sure Jesus and the Holy Spirit fall under the "Other Gods" category.

Well, you're pretty mistaken, but now I'm being glib.

Ragtime, please show us a verse from the old testament that explicitly mentions the Holy Trinity.

If I do, you'll say it's not explicit. So let's not, and say we did.

There is no evidence that the actual cult leader referred as 'Jesus' in the NT is actually anything like what is claimed. It is just the followers make him look more impressive.

Of course. I'm Jewish myself,

Apologies for making assumptions about your background. I assumed you were Christian for some reason. :)

(Most Jews would not consider "Jews for Jesus" to be Jewish, FYI.)

I think he just stated that he IS Christian ( a JFJ).
Unless Im missunderstanding him.
The point is that he is not a Gentile.

Hence my suggestion to discuss your ideas with a member of mainstream Orthodox/Reform Jewish religion, I think you would get an interesting perspective. I'm Catholic so I got nothin'. :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So you implicitly admit that there is no reference to the trinity in the Tanakh. Got it. Also, Father + Son + Holy Spirt = 3 > 1. You do the math.

However, Christ most likely was the 2nd coming of Krishna.

+1; I think the "son of God" concept is misunderstood; what Jesus was actually trying to say is that we all have sparks of divinity inside of us, therefore we should treat each other with love and compassion. Jesus and Krishna is an apt comparison; they both enjoyed walking among the common people and the sinners and understood the impermanence of worldly existence and the futility of black/white, good/evil, saint/sinner duality.

The whole "Jesus was the one and only son of God and there will never be another so our ceremonies should revolve around worship of his image" thing is an idolatrous misinterpretation IMHO, I don't think if Jesus was here today he would want us to worship him, it's kind of like the zen parable of the "finger pointing at the moon." He was just here to show us the way, not to fixate our religious thought on that particular historical event.

In my opinion of course.

Punctuation marks please.

So we know what you're trying to say.

Most mainstream Jews consider the Jeez for Jewsus an embarrassment at best and a bunch of loons at worst.

Everybody wants to be a "chosen" person.

"Christos" and "Krishna" sound uncannily similar. Coincidence? I think not!

The topic is "did Jesus or his followers start a new religion?" so discussion of "what were Jesus' religious influences?" is very on-topic. There is no doubt in my mind he was exposed to Eastern philosophy at some point prior to beginning his ministry.
