my feelings exactly. more gun laws wont prevent any of these kind of crimes, what needs to happen is more help for people with serious mental illnesses in this country. mental illness is taboo so i expect nothing will happen

In some places and some families, like mine, gun safety started when I was about 3 and old enough to wonder what was in the wood box on the top shelf of my parent's bedroom closet. My first shooting trip my dad shot a grapefruit (roughly the size and consistency of a human brain) at 50 yards with a .22 to demonstrate that carelessness can be deadly even with tiny bullets.

In high school I had a US history teacher that was opposed to private gun ownership, but even she had to admit that studies and psychological experiments have found that kids who find and get a hold of guns without competent supervision tend to do Darwinian things with them, and kids that had safety training and go shooting tended to leave them alone until they get directions.

At least as long as the media goes on a campaign to go completely chicken little over guns and chokes off any rational discussion about [all] the root causes of violent crime.

guns dont kill people, people kill people. when I was in california I ran into a few really mentally ill folks myself, one guy was causing a scene at a CVS I was at buying beer, he kept walking up and down the isle screaming s**t. everyone was so afraid to do anything and were completely stand of ish. Once I got my wigger juice i was out of there, So I didnt know what happend.

Another time I was at the library, I dont know what it is about librarys, but they always attract the mentally Ill, some lady was telling someone standing next to her to be quiet only thing is there was nobody there. This time however other library patrons told her to shut up like loud, I just starred. and laughed to myself inside because it was hilarious

This other time, I was walking down the street and this lady was poiting at all the passing cars cursing at them, when I passed her on the sidewalk she said, "F-CK YOU!" and continued on her clip down the street. scared the s**t out of me

There are certain cities in the USA that are hopeless short of martial law and they already have tough gun laws (think larger cities where the people live like rats crammed in a box). It's the people in those areas. Take away guns and they would kill each other in different ways.

Oakland Ca is a good example.....you have to be lucky or make a contribution to get a CCW, yet alot of killing goes on here. It probably has the Highest murder rate in Northern California...and that place is doused with gun control

You know, it gets very lame to see all the American drama about guns getting regulated. They are not even banning them.

Heck, cars are more regulated than guns in your country. What the heck?

You should apply the constitution. Well trained militia probably needs regulation.

So why worry about it?


I'm guessing (sarcasm) that if I were to walk down the street with my AR15 casually slung from my shoulder that I'd become a cop magnet in about five minutes or less. Not so if I drove down the same street even though the vehicle poses more of an immediate risk since it is a few tons of steel in motion.
Kind of says it all right there.
Regardless of how you chose to read the constitution, the right to bear arms is a right. Driving a car is a licensed privileged.
