הַלִּכּוּד
But I don't even vote in Canada, so I can't imagine wanting to vote in Israel either.

I cry Foul! The Irish have produced some of the greatest writers in the English language (which is somewhat ironic). They have also produced scientists of great note (consider the Fitzgerald Contract which had the name Lorentz tacked on it) And the great mathematician George Boole and the mathematician Wm. Rowan Hamilton. And many other. Ireland has made outstanding contributions to Song and Science.

I would also have added to that list Oscar Wilde and Bram Stoker, creator of Dracula.

No - considering you're so extremely anti-Zionist (you actually spoke quite favourably of ethnic cleansing at one point), I think you're a hateful liar. You have expressed support for Palestinian terrorism in the past (and not in jest either - you said that if you lived in Israel, you'd support Palestinian terrorists), so I believe you're lying.

Anyway, here's some quotes from Hamas politicians - referring to Jews, all Jews - not "Zionists", not Israelis but Jews as a race of people.

"The Jews are the most despicable and contemptible nation to crawl upon the face of the Earth, because they have displayed hostility to Allah.

"Allah will kill the Jews in the hell of the world to come, just like they killed the believers in the hell of this world.

"The Jews kill anyone who believes in Allah. They do not want to see any peace whatsoever on Earth."

(Sermon delivered by 'Atallah Abu Al-Subh, former Hamas minister of culture, which aired on Al-Aqsa TV, April 8, 2011, translation by MEMRI).

“We cannot agree to a programme that is intended to poison the minds of our children…Holocaust studies in refugee camps is a contemptible plot and serves the Zionist entity with a goal of creating a reality and telling stories in order to justify acts of slaughter against the Palestinian people."

(Statement from Hamas Ministry of Refugee Affairs on U.N. Relief and Works Agency plan to include Holocaust education in the curriculum taught Palestinian refugees, February 28, 2011)

"The lie of the Zionist Holocaust crumbles with countless holocausts committed by the Zionists in Beit Hanoun, al-Fakhoura school and other places in Palestine."

(Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar, speaking at a memorial service for Palestinians killed during the 2008 Israeli war in Gaza, January 6, 2011)

(The economic crisis is the result of) "bad administrative and financial management and a bad banking system put into place and controlled by the Jewish lobby."

(The Jewish lobby) "controls the U.S. elections and defines the foreign policy of any new administration in a manner that allows it to retain control of the American government and economy."

(Hamas Spokesman Fawzi Barhum, October 7, 2008; as reported by AFP and other news agencies

"We will kill Jews everywhere. There will be no security for any Jews, those who came from America, Russia or anywhere."
(Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, co-founder of Hamas, to the Chicago Tribune, 2002)

"It is no longer a secret that the Zionists were behind the Nazis’ murder of many Jews, and agreed to it, with the aim of intimidating them and forcing them to immigrate to Palestine."
(Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi, to pro-Hamas Al-Risala, August 2003)

"Hamas has never proposed to change or amend its charter [calling for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews]. The platform presents a realistic view that reflects Hamas's goals for the next four years. Had we spoken of eliminating and eradicating Israel within this period, we would have been deceiving our people and repeating false slogans. But this does not stand in contradiction [to the fact that] we place emphasis on the elimination and non-recognition of Israel."
Salah Al-Bardawil, Hamas candidate for Palestinian Legislative Council IslamOnline – Islamic extremist website – January 14, 2006

There really isn't a lot of difference in the end between the likes of Hamas, Al-Qaeda and the Islamist lunatics running places like Iran, with their constant firing of rockets into Israeli territory and bombings, killing innocent men, women and children.

"Before Israel dies, it must be humiliated and degraded. Allah willing, before they die, they will experience humiliation and degradation every day."
Dr. Mahmud Al-Zahar, Hamas leader in Gaza, Washington Times, February 4, 2006

"Neither the liberation of the Gaza Strip nor the liberation of the West Bank or even Jerusalem will suffice us. Hamas will pursue the armed struggle until the liberation of all our lands. We don't recognize the state of Israel or its right to hold onto one inch of Palestine. Palestine is an Islamic land belonging to all the Muslims."
Dr. Mahmud al-Zahar, Hamas leader in Gaza, The Jerusalem Post, August 18, 2005

"She [Hamas suicide bomber Re'em Al-Riyashi] is not going to be the last because the march of resistance will continue until the Islamic flag is raised, not only over the minarets of Jerusalem, but over the whole universe."
Dr. Mahmud Al-Zahar, Hamas leader in Gaza, Associated Press, January 15, 2004

The Israelis want peace - they really, really want peace. They'd be happy to give the Palestinians their own state, but you can't negotiate with people who want to destroy you and have a political platform indistinguishable from Nazism.

Dang yall have some interesting stuff going on over here. I would vote for BB early and often like is done in Chicagoville and Californistan. I do not know about the various yiddish political parties but know they can get pretty kooky. Now some of the nasty old right wingers who believe The Book of Revelation belongs in the current Canon believe the Time of Jacob's Trouble will coincide with what is called the Tribulation Period. The first half 3.5 years a false peace will ensue backed up by a world super power or consortium. The Jews and Arabs will all be pals and the Jews will be allowed to rebuild the Temple right beside the Dome of the Rock. Animal sacrifices will resume. There is plenty of room if you leave out the outter courtyard as some Old Testament hero of the Faith was told to do by God when measuring. Daniel maybe? Anyway Jerusalem will be an Open City with all the worlds religions represented and allowed to peacefully go about their worship. The Pope will be the administrator of Jerusalem and his Swiss Guards will be internal security. Yall start shooting holes in this scenario..lol. Thanks.

If I were in Israel proper, I'd vote Meretz. Were I in the Occupied Territories, I'd support the Palestinian National Initiative.

This thread, btw, is getting ugly & soaked in ethnic nationalism and dick measuring.

If by terrorism, you mean any opposition to the Israeli stranglehold on Palestinian settlements, yes.

Disraeli shutting down an Irishmen:

In a heated debate in parliament, O'Connell referred to Disraeli's Jewish ancestry in disparaging terms to which Disraeli responded:

Yes, I am a Jew and when the ancestors of the right honourable gentleman were brutal savages in an unknown island, mine were priests in the temple of Solomon.

The Irish need to get it through their skulls that the other Arab Countries were the ones that prevented Palestine from becoming a country. The Israelis just managed to fight the other Muslim countries to a standstill.

Those other countries held the territories that should have been the Palestinians' without regard to the Palestinians up until the 6 day war when Israel didn't wait around for the other countries' armies to cross the border into Israel.

I think the Palestinians need to start blaming the other countries for stealing their land in the first damn place. Muslims that stayed in Israel when it became a country are full Israeli citizens.

.

There was a period between the initial wave of first settlers and the arab Israeli war where the Jewish militia were pretty much carving up Palestinian homelands with impunity.

Is analogous to saying that Nazi Germany had a carte blanche to poland, Ukraine Belarus and Lithuania because they managed to fight the Soviet Union to a standstill.

You do realize the British actually had the proverbial legal deed to the real-estate that would become Israel and the Jewish people got it from the British.

Fact of the matter is Israel is more than willing to make peace, but the Palestinians have to want peace too instead of wanting to butcher every Jew down to the last child.

What the British actually did was promise the land to both parties effectively causing the conflict themselves.

Their behaviour over the course of the last week would certainly undermine Israels facade of wanting peace.

A unprovoked and disproportionate aerial strike with minimal regard for civillian casualties while allowing further encroachment of settlers onto the Gaza strip is hardly extending the olive branch.

"Butchering every Jew to the last child" is nothing but counterproductive and emotive sanctimony. The Palestinians are ill placed to butcher anyone, least of all the Israeli war machine. Frankly i think they would be content with remaining an existing entity. If Israel wants peace they need to get the false victim complex out of their head.

'butchering' every Jew, right....

How are the Children of Israel fairing? Hope there is good tidings. They are God's Chosen People..the Apple of His Eye so to speak. Those who curse Israel will have the curse returned plus usury.

You'd vote for a party that wants to destroy the Jewish state, then.

Without living there and actually understanding their political climate, it's impossible for me to say. On the face of it, though, I'd be putting a vote Bibi's way.
