It is not healthy that a super tiny portion of the Right thinks that the Government will actually do this.
From the frantic messages I've read on the freeper forums it is not as "super tiny" as you think.

Government can regulate business, force people to buy health insurance, or even take measures that "redistribute" wealth in certain ways without being an existential threat to freedom. People can peacefully disagree on the role of government but it has always been the case that government can sometimes force people to do things they would prefer not to do. If people disagree with the things government forces them to do they can petition for change and challenge the current elected representatives. As long as freedom of speech and freedom of political dissent are maintained it is not tyrannical that an elected government can make you do things. Those last two items are the essential things that were missing in the Soviet Union. 99.9% of people in the US, regardless of ideology, agree that suppression of political freedom as a means to an ideological end is unacceptable.

The problem is a certain faction of the right see's the left as some kind of existential threat, potentially justifying armed revolt in the case an election doesn't go their way. I can see such idiotic fear-driven people being the first to infringe on people's right to political dissent as we saw in the era of McCarthy hysteria. I can easily see a bunch of psychotic fear-driven reactionaries deciding to lynch Noam Chomsky for being a "threat to freedom".
