they possibly dont have bomb shelters for the same reason many have no access to running water or utilities, they have no resources with which to build them due to Israeli co-ercion.

In recent years there was a japanese artist by the name of haruki murakami who wrote of the Palestine situation:

excerpt:

“Between a high, solid wall and an egg that breaks against it, I will always stand on the side of the egg.

Yes, no matter how right the wall may be and how wrong the egg, I will stand with the egg. "

that pretty much sums up where i am on the matter.

Just one question for you - if a tree falls on a mosque during bad weather, are the Israelis responsible for that tree failing?

You're blaming the Israelis again for everything. You'd make an excellent Palestinian. Building a bomb shelter would be easy and painless and I'm sure the Israelis would even be happy to help them do so, considering the sheer amount of effort the IDF puts in to avoid killing ordinary civilians (not the terrorists they're really after) in Gaza. Hell, they even text Gazans to say that there will be a raid and to get to safety. But they don't do that. Just look at their rhetoric regarding their own women and children, about teaching children to become suicide bombers and all the rest. This isn't even a secret. Hamas have nothing to offer the people of Gaza but Sharia, fanaticism, backwardness, misery and death.

They could easily stop the violence and build their own economy - they could have started doing this years ago, from the moment the settlers left the area and Gaza was Judenfrei. But they've done nothing. The Israelis used to provide building materials, but now Gazans can order from private firms. The Israelis carefully monitor what's going in and out of Gaza for obvious security reasons, but if Hamas could be trusted (with their charter - ha!) then they would become more lenient with time.

They could make their region an area of which they can be proud, an area where people feel that life is worth living, a life away from hate and blaming other people for their problems. I really mostly blame the Palestinian leadership for much of the problems that their people face, but the people in Judea and Samaria and Gaza insist on electing murderous no-compromise, no-negotiation, death-to-Israel rejectionists so I can't blame them. That philosophy has worked wonders for them since 1948, hasn't it?

If it was me, and after 70 years of conflict and violence, I'd try and look at the Israeli side of the story and see what they were saying about a two-state solution. Anything would have to be better than the misery I was being put through. Look at the difference in how the two sides are talked about in Israeli and Arab media. Massive difference.

Hamas bribed the people of Gaza to elect them. Funnily enough, there have never been elections since and one wonders why that is.

My eyes roll yet again... for your information, that's one of the reasons that Israel bans the importation of concrete into Gaza. They don't want the people to have bomb shelters. After all, they want to kill and terrorise the people so making it easier to defend oneselves sort of defeats the purpose.

Considering the limited extent of the Egyptian offensive and that they really double-crossed the Syrians whose job in their eyes was essentially to be a diversion, and considering Sadat's actions following that, my conclusion is the correct one, and add to that the fact that Sadat signed such a deal later on and did not attack Israel.

Your conclusion lacks objectivity, and smacks of an exercise in bias confirmation.

Your analysis is woefully inadequate, since it fails to incorporate the US-Soviet implications of the Yom Kippur War, it makes not mention of domestic Egyptian challenges to Sadat's continued rule as a motivation for war. It fails to evaluate Meir's decision not to launch a pre-emptive strike. And most importantly it makes the assumption that Sadat's willingness to negotiate a peace agreement with Israel was not influenced by the results of the war.

I suggest that none of the government leaders invovled (Sadat, Meir and Begin) would have been willing to sit down had it not been for the outcomes of the Yom Kippur War. Israeli complacency was deeply affected, and so too was Egyptian confidence. Without the demonstration that neither side could expect military victory over the other, it is unlikely that any peaceful agreement could have been reached.

Sadat wanted to make a deal along those lines in 1971. The problem here is that this is an inconvenient fact and is suppressed because it fails to fit the narrative.

Oh, and Hamas have now officially announce that they plan to formally train children into becoming terrorists and suicide bombers:

Quote:
Hamas to establish military academy to train Palestinians

JERUSALEM: Islamist Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip and swears to the destruction of Israel, is planning to establish a military academy for training and educating schoolchildren as young as 12 years old for "liberating Palestine".

Hamas' Prime Minister in the Gaza Strip, Ismail Haniyeh, made the announcement during a graduation ceremony for more than 3,000 Palestinian teenagers who passed the Islamist group sponsored military training programme held at various schools in the coastal Strip.

The Futuwwa, or youth programme, is a weekly elective that is offered in all of Gaza Strip's high schools.

They forgot to add in the article that Hamas want to kill every last Jew on Earth, but the mention of extermination of an entire race of people doesn't seem to be worthy of a mention.

I'm sure the Jew-haters on WP and elsewhere will treat this news with glee, especially elements of the delusional Left in Europe (not all of the left in Europe is like that, and a lot of people do genuinely support peace with Israel and the Palestinians in good faith). After all, they don't have to suffer the possibility that their children might be killed during Israeli defensive attacks on Gaza. Or that they, their kids, family or friends might end up being blown to smithereens from rockets fired at random targets by barbarians who don't care who they murder, such is their blood lust. It could be Jewish or Muslim, it doesn't matter to them. And given the birth rate in Gaza is stupidly, insanely high (it's one of the highest in the world), they have a ready supply of cannon fodder in their war of extermination.

For there even to be the slightest prospect of peace and for the Palestinians to be free, Hamas (and Islamic Jihad, etc) need to be decisively and permanently vanquished. Their own Charter makes it clear that this needs to happen.

One last thing: if Hamas really does "love death more than Israelis love life" they won't mind being killed by Israel, will they?

I'm starting to think that there is something suspicious about him and he has some ulterior motive. At close to 23,800 posts in a 7 year period averages out at 9 posts per day. Could Tequila elaborate on what he does as a living and where he finds the time to write so many posts in addition to carrying out the research required? I happen to be well aware that various Zionist groups employ thousands of people and pay then $$$ to post articles on forums, blogs, and comment boxes on news sites to support their cause and bash Islam. I'm not saying that Tequila is one of them but I shall let him know that I know that such people do exist.

He has made it clear that he is in UKIP but does he realise that he would probably be more productive and useful to the party if he spent his time and effort out canvassing and raising awareness of the corruption and evils of the EU amongst the people in his town rather than bashing Islam and critics of Zionism on an internet forum that only a tiny minority of Brits even look at? If UKIP wants to win then it has to work all year round rather than only coming out of the closet at the Euro elections.

Actually, that has been bothering me too. Tequila's post count is *extremely* suspicious. Its 9.42 per day, BTW 8O.

I say we ban not only Tequila but also these posters with suspiciously high post counts:

CockneyRebel
Tim_Tex
TenPencePiece
TallyMan
richie
TeaEarlGreyHot
ruveyn
iamnotaparakeet
Cornflake

And a moderator should take an especially close look at TallyMan (> 20 posts, day 8O 8O 8O) and Cornflake (> 30 posts, day!! !! !! !!!111oneone).

When I search for posts by these guys on WP, for instance, *both* their names come up in relation to the current DDoS attack. Coincidence?

I Think Not!

There are people on here with a lot more posts per day on here, and they joined much later than I did.

Anyway, GGPViper, I already told him that the Zionists are paying me very well for my defence of a genuine liberal, free democracy against a bunch of exterminationist religious thugs on an obscure autism website.

How's that deal going with the CIA and Mossad going, mate? Why don't you tell Arran what you know about the black helicopters, the TV sending secret messages to you that only you can decipher (which are from the Forsvarets Efterretningstjeneste), and about the microphones embedded in every wall? ;)

Hey hey hey, Tequila. Full stop.

Didn't you get the memo?

We no longer use microphones in walls. After approval by our Senior Citizens Committee (The Elders of Zion) we now inject microphones into the bloodstream of infants instead... There is a reason why so many Jews are doctors...

Unfortunately, the black helicopters are not ready yet. A few gunships took some damage when we toppled Mubarak to cause an arms race in the Middle East increasing demand for US, British, French, Russian and Chinese weapons. Consult xenon13 for a full debriefing.

We await final confirmation on the safety of the helicopter landing pads and hangars from our Construction and Maintenance Committee (Freemasons).

And the subliminal TV messages ran into some problems too. Poor lighting, it would seem. The Visual Enhancement and Adjustment Committee (Illuminati) will look into it ASAP, however...

No such organization exists. One moment... logging Tequila's IP address... *knock on front door*....

There is nothing actually wrong with that. However, there is a general rule of thumb that people who post a very high number of comments on forums and blogs happen to be people who have plenty of free time. Large numbers of posts submitted at all hours is a tell tale sign that one either does not work or they have paid employment posting comments. Of course there are countless unemployed people who fill up their days endlessly posting comments on forums and blogs - and I suspect that some of the heavy users of WP fit into this category. What is suspicious are users who post a very high number of comments of an extremely uncompromising nature backing up a certain cause. This is even more so if their responses to anything critical of that cause are regularly prompt. It may well be the case that some of these people are diehard loyalists to a certain cause who are glued to a particular blog or forum all day because they do not work, but others could be agents who are being paid $$$ to promote that cause or drive away opponents who do not have the time in the day to mount an effective opposition.

So, when Tequila's beliefs are in perfect accordance with international law - UN resolutions 181 and 273 - by recognizing Israel's right to exist, and the beliefs of Anti-Israel Hamas-apologist thomas81 are not, Tequila is the one posting comments of an "extremely uncompromising nature"?

You might be hanging out with the wrong crowd, Arran...

Not really. Once you start focusing on the *actual* oppressive regimes in the Middle East, and not the only civilized country in the region, then I'll be happy.
