Yeah, we could have prevented 9/11 by being harsher on Islamic terrorism in the years BEFORE that.
It was thier lack of fear of us that caused that.

Or maybe by just letting them be, giving them no reason to do what their did

Yeah, they're such a peaceful lot.

You're right, you've been at War since 1775.

The second part of your post just proves my point..
Your country invades. You're not defending yourself (Yes, this includes 9/11 - Iraq did 9/11 right?), it's just full out slaughter over and over again.

Be grateful we haven't invaded Canada.

That kind of attitude makes people want to f**k with the United States. It's very counter-productive.

What an eloquent response :?
Typical of an American to threaten violence though... just proving my point further.

Actually, America has invaded Canada and lost.

This kind of attitude makes people want to f**k with the US. Canadians should be "grateful" that they haven't been beaten up by their neighbor for no reason? I haven't grabbed a gun and shot the guy across the street, either. He never did anything to me, but I suppose he should be grateful about what a benevolent person I am for not shooting him.

If you invaded Canada, you wouldn't have Nickelback or Justin Bieber
We all know you wouldn't give them up

I have links too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wa ... ted_States
It´s worth nothing that a single war is way more damaging than a single terrorist attack. Also, that in the list thay you provided, the U.S. only appeared twice.

Here is a video though, it is a bit dense but very, very informative. Someone has posted it before but still, it is good.

That was a long long time ago under circumstances that were not favorable to us.

I like Nickleback but I have no use at all for Justin Bieber.

The Japanese tried that. They learned the hard way.

Noted - it only counts when the opponent is much, much weaker than one's self!

The American Flag only appears a few times but if you click on each one you'll see that there were American casualties in several others.
The USS Cole, for one example, is a US Navy guided missle destroyer that was being re-fueled in Yemen.
There are lots and lots of other examples from that list so we do have a dog in that fight in addition to attacks on other countries that we consider friendly.

Yep, it minimizes US casualties that way.
But I'm sure the the left would have had issues even if we'd picked a fight with the USSR during the cold war.
Just no pleasing some people. :P

Considering that this would most likely have escalated to an exchange of nukes, yes.. yes, I think that would have been a problem and am pleased that was not done.
