You would'nt know that, but it makes it hard to discuss that subject accross the pond. Cousins seperated by a common language and all that.
Ok thanks but I don't think I can change the name now. It is property related tax.
What I wonder is why don't all homeowners register their homes as being owned by offshore companies? Perhaps nobody need pay these taxes. But I think its a question of what is proper and seeing as M Thatcher promoted the notion of home ownership I would expect her not to be shy about declaring herself a homeowner.
