Slant and curved the word-swords fall
to pierce and stick inside me.
Bats and bricks may ache through bones,
but words can mortify me.

Pain from words has left its scar

Cuts and bruises now have healed;
it’s words that I remember.

Everyone has a bit of the sadist in them.* It is a question of degree. However, the more intellect you have, the greater ability to transcend you have.
* I confess that when I make a winning move playing chess I look up to see their expression.

I voted "deliberate malice" because even if your position is correct,to attack the person and not his/her argument is a logical fallacy,ad hominum.
For example, the below is a fallacy.
1. Manson is a liar.
2. Manson said, "1+1=2"
3. Therefore 1+1 does not =2.
Manson's character has nothing to do with the truth value of 1+1=2.

Yes, that's right Walrus; Just like a criminologist doesn't have to be a criminal to understand them.
Apparently I've become the subject of study for Marshall. :D

True, but most criminal proceedings for harm inflicted depends on proof of malice, not proof of stupidity.

Yes! Fascinating. Only my mind channeling device couldn't find a mind so it had to find something lower down to attach to. It was a mutually intimate and pleasureful experience.

Learn to live with it?! Do you actually believe that feelings don't matter? Isn't this the justification of every schoolyard bully, that no 'real' (i.e physical) damage is being done and so therefore it doesn't matter?! Are you sure you are in the right place here?

What the hell is this supposed to mean? Are you trying to excuse and justify bad behaviour here?

I'm quite sure I'm in the right place. I've just learned to man up to it and I've done plenty of counter-bullying of my own.

"Kill them all and then let God sort it out"
My apologies, I thought that was your philosophy.

Yes, I have been known to say that but I don't see what it has to do with this thread.

It pays to find out why someone did you wrong, harm or injury before you go on the war-path. It could have been an error. Or it might have been deliberate. One has to review the facts of the matter.

Raptor, I think it is fairly obvious that you neither have AS, nor understand those who do. In case you had not noticed, WrongPlanet is a place for those of us who do have it to, among other things, discuss unacceptable behaviour like bullying, and devising means to control and (hopefully) eliminate such behaviour. You, on the other hand, are condoning it. What's just as bad, if not worse, is the fact that you are shrugging off the effects such behaviour and dismissing the natural consequences as being of no consequence. You could not be more wrong.

Now, I know that having AS is not a prerequisite to being a contributor here at WP, but do at least try to make an effort to understand that your comments (the ones that I have seen so far, anyway) are, well... just ignorant and stupid. That's the easiest way to put it. Us 'Aspies', as you no doubt do not know, tend to be very direct and to the point, to the point of (in my case anyway) being rude, but I am sure that since you don't think that feelings are important anyway, you won't be offended, so I am not expecting an indignant reply to this post.
