I still want to see a movie about radical Christianity led by Jesus back in the day. This version is just as valid as any other considering nobody knows for sure who Jesus was or if he even existed. Why can't I have my vision?

I want something not boring but fierce. Fierce and realistic. My Apostles will have fire in their eyes as will their leader, Jesus Christ. They will set the city on fire with their words. If you think you saw passion already, honey, you aint seen nothing yet. My Christ will be bitterly defiant til the end. even when he's hauling that cross up to Golgotha. He will always be a defiant fighter, even til the end. I might have him spit in the face of a Roman soldier or two, even when he is on that cross.

There has never been a better time to write your own gospel. It used to be a popular genre to write but eventually became a little dangerous.

He looked like the statue until someone honked a train horn at the church!

Now he looks like the statue after it fell!

Well ya know I think I am just as qualified as anyone else. I, like Luke, will do the most research I can then write my own version based on it.

My Jesus will be so passionate, radical and fierce, Ayatollah Khomeini will be mild compared to Him. I am gonna give his Apostles some kick, too.

So why do they make him out to be a miracle worker?

Because Rabbis were more apt to be like this back then. They were multi dimensional and they would help people in many ways. This was before Christianity. So, instead of seeing nuns and whatnot performing various tasks, you saw people like the Rabbi and his apostles.

My understanding is that the Apostles were more often than not politically active, and it is the Apostles accounting of Jesus life and supposed resurrection that we are taught. There is no real proof of the resurrection, just various conflicting accounts of the event, as told by political Apostles with nefarious motivations for their varying descriptions of those days. The image of Jesus is irrelevant to me because while I believe he existed as a human being, I see no reason to believe in either and immaculate conception or of a resurrection. I believe his teachings of compassion and love of man come from other than Christian ideology. I believe Christianity adopted and adapted these virtuous attributes from things Jesus learned in his "wandering years."

Why couldn't have Jesus taught those things? Remember, this was a religion that had originally attracted the poor and slaves, people who desperately needed a religion of love and compassion.

Buddhism was teaching these things over 500 years before Jesus was born. There are various theories of thought on the possibility of Jesus studying Buddhism during his "lost years." And reports that his body is actually buried in Kashmir area where he returned following his "resurrection" (which can be easily explained in ways other than the "risen from the dead for your sins" story.

I predict Jesus will get a makeover soon anyway or the Church won't have enough members. They want to attract youth. If anything ,he will come out either looking edgier and more goth, or he will resemble a teen idol more. They will try to give him a goatee or something.
