Well yeah, but I mean it's a .22 - it's not exactly a loud round to begin with.

I've heard that about suppressed .22s, but a lot of airguns are louder than a .22 LR.

Light loads in a .22 automatic often won't even cycle the action, depending.....

I tend to be a little less critical of someone's ignorance who has never even touched a gun and has ridiculous impressions than someone who owns one and thinks the best way to carry a gun is in the front of his waistband or has never learned the vital lesson that you should only point it at things you are fully prepared to have a bullet go into. Maybe that's just me, I suppose.

You do realize you just moved the goalposts, right?

Besides which, neither example you provide has anything to do with ignorance, both being more focused on safety and proper gun handling, which is not the same thing as believing whoppers about "cop killer" bullets or "assault weapons". Further, front of waistband carry is perfectly safe if practiced with an appropriate pants/firearm/holster combination, where it is know as modified appendix carry and is becoming increasingly popular, the problem comes from people doing it with elastic waist sweats and warmups and pistols without manual safeties, and even then the problem comes when they try to stop the gun from slipping and accidentally contact the trigger, as a modern handgun will not fire from being dropped.

But, if you want to check for yourself, watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart of 29th of April. If you want to, I can sum it up in few words: in Georgia a law was passed allowing guns to be used almost everywhere. What is one of the few rare exceptions? The place where the lawmakers work. ;)

Ahh yes, a satirical "news" show, where all the "informed" people get their information, the same people who evidently think uninformed mockery is a valid form of argument...

Many states have gun policies similar to those recently enacted in Georgia; did any of them see spikes in violence after the laws passed? Do you even have any idea?

Perhaps you should limit your accusations of "blindsight" to topics that you actually know something about, though that admittedly might cut into your post count.

Post count? Ugh...

Listen, you completely missed the point. And you will most likely continue to miss it.

But anyway, the lawmakers defend that the right to carry guns increases safety. And the more places you can carry them, the better. However, they don't allow guns where they work. Curious, isn't it? Why is that? Could it be that you've been BSed all your life?

I see your avatar only in guns threads. You probably dedicated so much time to this that you would have a heart atack before admiting that you are completely wrong about this. *shrug*

There would have to be a point in order for me to miss one, and you've yet to supply that side of the arrangement.

Far be it from me to question the internal logic of Georgia lawmakers; could be they're hypocrites, could be that they've chosen to fight this one battle at a time, I don't know and neither do you, though you pretend otherwise.

Actually yes, I was born and raised in Seattle, so I've been subjected to a non-stop stream of liberal BS my entire life, which had a ruinous effect on those around me. Thankfully, my critical thinking skills somehow escaped unscathed, and so the damage wasn't permanent.

What is your claim to expertise on this subject again? I hold a degree from one of only two gunsmithing schools in the US and have over a decade of experience on the topic; you don't even live here.

Your username is a logical formulation, yet you base an assumption on you only noticing me in gun threads, as if that is meaningful proof of anything? Kinda like a guy who goes by "MrScience" advancing a flat earth theory...

Also, you didn't offer any actual argument or evidence that I am in fact wrong, which is pretty par for the course, both from you specifically and anti-gun people generally.

It's really funny to see people clinging to their propaganda based opinion.

Or knock someone on the head with a baseball bat. Or get an axe. Or bow and arrows.

EDIT: Meh, aparently pointing out the brutality of "pro-guners" is worse than the brutality of the "pro-guners" itself. So this has been edited by me.

Which is why, according to urban legend, the Israeli Mosaad uses them for assassinations. Don't hardly need a suppressor when used with shorts (NOT clothing).

So what you're saying is that you've never even considered the issue because you know that you know best?

Your country, I'll guess, is Canada, and you're upset they wouldn't let Black Philip in....and then he died? It's your country doing the banning, not ours; don't get so angry with us.

In your country they don't have a Bill of Rights so taking your guns away wasn't a big step for the RCMP or who ever is in charge of suppression. And your contention it's a settled issue is ludicrous, and spouted only by someone who doesn't have a clue about the hundreds (thousands?) of Canadians, enraged by confiscation, presently working for change. Try spending some time on gun forums hearing what people (including Canadians) have to say and you won't be so uninformed next time........and next time (after you've been educated) repeating the same untruths you preach here, will just be outright lies.

Speaking of avatars, what is yours meant to signify? I mean: Does it have any significance we can relate to or is it a personal accomplishment or failure you'd like to share with us (or just plagiarized?) ? If it's too personal to discuss I certainly can relate and I understand your difficulty, but since you seem to have a great interest in other's avatars, I just had to ask (without the snarky comment though, of course).

Heh, a guy I went to gunsmithing school with used to shoot his .22 down the hall in his apartment using .22 colibri rounds, which don't actually have powder in them, relying on the primer alone for propulsion. Got about 550 fps out of them, and no one ever noticed that they were being fired indoors in a cheaply built apartment building.

I prefer Aguila SSS rounds for my own quiet plinking, they pack a bit more punch than the colibris, and they're nearly as quiet. That, and they'll actually cycle some of my .22 automatics, which I can't say for the colibris.
