The meaning of life.
It pays to be prepared...as are the scouts...
I've already got a bunker, but that's for when the NT's totally lose their s**t and just turn into zombies-- the flesh eating type, not the brain dead variety they are now.

As an existentialist, I believe there is no set meaning of life, it is not already pre-conceived nor dictated. We choose the meaning of life, and can apply our own meaning of our own lives in our own best interests. I think we should find our own individual meaning, and pursue it.
This is partly why I strongly identify myself as an ambitious and goal-oriented person. When I have no goals and leaving everything as the status quo, I not only feel 'bored' with life, but I actually have existentialist crises all the time and feel life, existence, etc. is all meaningless and pointless. I even sometimes contemplate suicide if I have no goals, no dreams/desires, etc.
I feel I need to have them so that I can feel I actually have purpose; purpose to live in this world, purpose to even exist.
So I do set myself goals and always wanting change in my life to feel purpose.

I think many people both NT and AS feel that need. But I think many also fulfill it by embracing a perception of "connection" to something, be it goals, nature, a religious group, etc..?

Perhaps. For some reason though I still do have existential crises and end up feeling alienated from my world.
I do have connections such as family, friends and what-not, but these links are broken once alienation kicks in.
It's a nightmarish feeling, where everything you once had feels out of reach. I have also, at brief moments, had depersonalization and derealization episodes.
Again, having goals and dreams and pursuing them, for me personally, takes me back to reality. They remind me that, I am an individual, I have control over my actions, I am a part of this world, etc.
I think it is because my goals require my own choices and actions for them to be achieved. This means it gives me control of myself and my thoughts again.
If you get what I mean.
For example, having no particular goals and maintaining your life exactly as it is to me means that I will fall into routine and lose control due to being on a set path.
Changing things up requires me to take control and change things up.
That is quite true, Kraftiekortie. It reminds me of Gandalf's famous quotation from The Fellowship of The Ring: "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Seen in a biological way the meaning of our life is to procreate us.
But without a meaning in our lives we wouldn't even be able to reach the age where we're able to reproduce.
Finding a meaning in life means you need to find something special to do, something you
want to achieve. Or to find someone you'd say you can't live without. Because when we find people we love that much we don't want to die in order to be there for them.

I personally think it is obvious that Existence itself has no purpose(except, maybe to exist), and so do not life have a purpose either(Macro). The only purposes are personally opinions which are a result of your nature and experience of Existence(Micro). One's nature is a result of one's material , or more precisely neurological and genetic composition. We see this in humans aswell as animal behaviour. Whatever life there is, life will seek what is enjoyable for it.
Therefore I "believe" that our collective philosophy should base itself upon exploring as much of Existence as possible, and enjoy it to the fullest.
Since you discussed religions earlier, I would like to share something which I am sure some of you will recognise. My awe for Existence is unlimited. This awe and sense of beauty and nostalgia I get from thinking of the Universe and Existence as a whole is of such spiritual quality that I believe someone would consider me highly religious. As a gratitude towards existing, I have come to the conclusion I would like to understand as much of it as I, of my own neurological composition is able to, while ensuring I do take the right action based on my understanding of it, to assist what I perceive to be the positive sides of it.
We have much in common.
You have a great attitude, I wish more humans thought like you.
I guess in the grand scheme of things it is pointless. My philosophy was to enjoy it while I am here, and accomplish what I want to. But now my philosophy is to get enough money by 2040 to buy whatever will let me live forever because google says by then they will be able to let people live forever. The first person to live 1000 years has already been born, and I hope I am one of them, I have no desire to die, ever.
EDIT: when I say google I don't mean I googled it, I mean the company google itself actually stated that.
